We have a Costco branded foam King, it's been good but it's time to replace with something new, and a bit firmer and with cooling tech since we're in FL.

Sams Club and Costco have some on sale, right now the options are DreamCloud Premier from SamsClub or a Sealy Posturepedic Pro from Costco, both are hybrid and get good reviews online and both have 365 day home trial periods.

Pricing on both are within a $100 of each other. Costco is $250 off with delivery and setup, Sams is $750 with delivery no setup or removal of the old mattress.

Like a bit firmer mattress this time around, thinking the foam over coil might be better than the straight foam that a lot of them seem to be.

Curious what others have bought and if you like them...

Take a look at Original Mattress Factory. We have been pleased with their product, service, and price.

Check their website for a convenient location, there are a few near you.

We bought a Tempur-Pedic (split king, adjustible) almost 5 years ago. At the time I was questioning the cost (most expensive bed we've ever purchased), but I have to say we have no regrets.

We did shop it and one place came in a couple hundred less and threw in a couple cooling pillows.

That's what my wife and I bought a year ago.
We're both very pleased with the Tempur-Pedic.

We sleep on a Tempur-Pedic king, no split, and it is the best mattress set we ever owned. For us, well worth the cost, it is something used 8 hours a day, everyday.

We've had a Sleep Number king for the past 16 years and a similar queen for about ten years before. We were very pleased with those but it was time to get a new one. We went looking for a split king with adjustable bed frame. Our first stop was the local Mattress Gallery Direct. The had a brand called 'Legendaire' that we really liked and for a good price and a 15 year warranty.

The next stop was at the Sleep Number store. They also had one that we liked...but at more than double the cost. the real kicker, however, was that their bed/frame combos are 'smart' units. You have to use their app to control the bed' functions or pay extra for a remote with tiny font that our 78-80 year old eyes can't see.

So, back to Mattress Gallery and they will deliver next week.

Original Mattress Factory. Great product, great customer service.

Avoid Mattress Firm. The products are fine, but customer service is horrible. You have been warned.

I made a great decision in 2017, and spent some time reading at Mattress Underground (i.e. the Sigforum of mattress forums). I decided that I wanted a latex core with a latex topper to get a customized mattress at a reasonable price. I had laid on latex and memory foam mattresses in nearby stores and liked how the latex was cooler than memory foam which is ideal for hot, humid Houston.

From there, went to one of Mattress Underground recommended companies, Arizona Premium Mattress Co, bought the latex core and then picked a Talalay latex topper for my bodyweight and sleep style (e.g. side sleeper). The cool thing about this core and topper route is that the topper can have a his and hers side to account for different body weights and sleep styles. You can both be comfortable even though you're a 200 lb side sleeper and she is a 120 lb stomach sleeper.

Two boxes arrived on my front porch a week or two later, I moved them to MBR, unboxed, cut the plastic off, they expanded, and I wrestled them onto the adjustable bed frame which I had bought at Costco.

BTW, their Talalay pillows are also fantastic.

Avoid Sleep Number. Terrible deal and company.

I bought a 14” Sam’s Members Mark Hotel Premium Hybrid and love sleeping on it, but I wish I jad bought the thinner (12”?) It is very tall and VERY heavy, which makes getting a fitted sheet on it hard. It is really heavy.

Serta Hybrid, I'm in South Florida and it is an inner spring mattress, with a foam layer and then a gel layer to stay cool. I bought mine 9 years ago and it's still doing great. They come in different firmness levels, mine is the most firm one.
