Get him tough Kong toys that you can fill with peanut butter. He'll be focused and satisfied on the toys instead of the house & furniture.

If you haven't yet, get a kennel bed. You might get your chair back. Regardless, he'll be more comfortable while in it.

A new pet doesn't replace the lost one. Enjoy making new memories with the new one!
