No worries. We are going to do all of that. Want him to put on a bit of weight first. He's pretty skinny.

His diet consists of black
coffee, and sarcasm.

He's skinny, scared, more accepting of TBG than me, terrified of sticks (shovels, pitchforks, etc., the kind of stuff you use in a barn).

He's afraid of both men and any stick-like object in their hands.

Sometimes hunters - who are overwhelmingly men - use abusive discipline on their dogs, such as hitting them with sticks. My brother acquired a Bluetick Coonhound under similar circumstances. He - a dog named Boo, seriously - was practically afraid of his own shadow for years afterwards.

^^^^^^That is my assumption. Kindness, patience, and feeding are already making a difference.

If he's got hookworms and/or whipworms, he'll put on weight faster after treatment.

^^^^^This is true. He's not the first foundling we've had, and the last one, Lucky, was a little football full of them when we got him.

I agree. ArtieS will give him what he needs and will be a great friend.
We had a snow white kitten show at our house 3 years ago. We live in the country and couldn't figure out how she got here she was tiny. After searching our cameras we figured God sent her.
