Our vet still doesn't let owners in with the pets, it's 100% curbside they come get the animal and return it. No sitting inside the office, bad thing is on a hot day I can go through a few gallons of gas sitting there for an hour idling...

Some state boards are making vets keep masks on (or were, haven't kept up with it lately because our state hasn't made us). Some corporately owned practices are also making their staffs keep masks on for (perceived) reduction of infection rates among employees; it's hard to tell which ones are corporate these days, as many do a great job of disguising it to maintain the hometown charms. Wink

Then again, your vet might be one of those guys like I see driving around Memphis by themselves in their car, all alone, with a mask on their face....

I had to go in for a colonoscopy today and they made me wear a damn stupid mask everywhere except the actual procedure when I was under. I asked the nurse prepping me prior to it why is it that everywhere else in the world, the masks have gone away but at doctor's offices and medical facilities they are still strictly enforced? She rolled her eyes a bit and murmured something about "liability". Roll Eyes

I don't think she's wrong. In our litigious society I can easily see lawsuits brought against medical practices for not wearing masks. Some dumbass who's looking to hit their own personal lottery get covid, etc. and sues - "I got it from my provider's office because they weren't wearing masks." It's not far-fetched at all.

If anybody with a medical degree believes that a cloth over your face will prevent the spread of covid, I question the rest of their medical education.

Very very true. Any chance the courts will swat this crap down whenever/wherever it appears?

Most doctors won't say the real reason and won't say shit even if they have a mouthful.

If the 1st amendment ever truly dies, a gang of lawyers will have all just stabbed it with their steely knives.

In other news the airlines sent Biden a letter requesting the mask mandates be lifted on them.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/trav...on-travel/ar-AAVswvW

The mandate is currently set to expire April 18.

I've had the same eye doctor's office since I was 11 or so, his son treats me now and one of the grandsons is also working there. No reason to leave them - no masking at all, ever, during covid was required, it was up to the individual or employee. And we have a lot of common views over current events. I hadn't been in a few years when I scheduled an appt (which led to cataract surgery) which he referred. He's been the least expensive health care provider in my recent history.

New dentist, new dental surgeon, great people, you get what you pay for these days, and it's not cheap. BTW, the surgeons have been female and not from a European background, yet they are highly competent and expert - much better than the old boys with pliers back in the day.

Sometimes you don't need to change, others, it's ok. Just move on.

First time to a doc in 3 years today, just wanted my bloodwork. Wife's Army ins has me going to Stanford, a place I don't want to be.

Assholes make me put the mask on, so I put my cloth one first. I react to those medical Chinese made ones. I can feel it in my teeth and I get light headed. I think it's metal or something. Same feeling I get when I am around mold. Pisses me off.

Then, I get in there and schoolhouse doctor boy pushes 4 vaccines on me. I swear they get paid for that. No other reason I can see they push like that.

Any doctor who makes me wear a mask when EVERYONE with any sense knows they don't do jack shit, and then pushes vaccines on me doesn't have my best interest in mind.

I don't trust what's going on in the medical world. Need a doctor who is in my corner, not trying to hamstring me over policy or for money. Mad
