If you don’t have an electronic version of your finger prints, .eft format to submit with eForms, you will have to mail in your finger print cards with the provided cover letter.

If for any reason you dont get the email response, which keeps happening to me for some reason. You can log into your ATF eForms account, select Submitted/In Process and grab it from the Electronic Documents tab along the top.

I know one guy that sent 3 form 1s at the same time. He sent three cover letters with one set of fingerprint cards. It was accepted and is in process.

I think the key is “at the same time”.

My brace individual from 01/17 was approved 04/28.
My brother's individual from after 01/17 was approved in early April.
Coworker's individual from 02/18 was approved today.

Anybody have a copy (fillable PDF) of the latest version of the Responsible Persons Questionnaire (ATF Form 5320.23 - Revised January 2023). I would've thought this would be filled out within the eForms website, but apparently that's not the case.

The version currently on the ATF website cannot be downloaded/saved without removing the fill & sign feature(s). It appears you must fill it out within a web browser and then save it, which means no filling in the boiler plate info, and then just changing the firearm info to 'Save As' for each firearm if you intend to file multiple eForm 1's. Also, it doesn't auto-fill the info on the CLEO page either, so you need to type everything in twice, and then double-check your work, twice!

I do have an older version (revised September 2019) saved which is a fillable PDF, and would prefer to use it, except apparently they need to know if I intend to 'make the firearm for sale to a prohibited person' and/or 'sell/dispose of it in furtherance of any felony'!

I hoping someone can email one, or has a link to one that works correctly. Thanks.

In the process of checking the form I used, I looked at one I filled out and I see I got the first one, but missed the second window at the very bottom of it to sign the damn thing, so I guess I'm making a phone call to see what I should do next. I'm thinking I will probably have to withdraw all four and resubmit. Glad I caught this now rather than waiting. So many I's to cross and T's to dot.

*Edit - ATF lady said she had no way to look at eforms, but if I missed a signature anywhere, it was an automatic disapproval, so I'm withdrawing and resubmitting everything today. Fuck. Glad I caught it now, though. If anyone's on the fence and thinks they're going to go ahead and do it, I'd get after it RFN. Be mindful that at least the 5320.23 has two signatures required.

There appears to be no consistency in the approvals. I submitted two on 2/4… 1) Disapproved on 4/6, resubmitted as new Form1 4/6, approved 5/8. 2) First I submitted, ie earlier sequential number, still not approved as of 5/18.

I emailed with my sequencing/non-approval question and the response back was effectively that they don’t do status checks for eForms… Whole thing is a mess.

Can someone provide some clarity on the 5320.23 Responsible Person Questionnaire. I did a bunch of digging on the internet (I know), and found that for an eForm 1 you 'may' only have to upload the ATF Copy, which is the first two pages...Hopefully that's true! Can someone please confirm this? I'm getting a bit frustrated here!

I can't seem to download/save a copy of the latest version of the form (Revised January 2023) that has the 'fillable form' features intact. I've had NO issues with any previous versions of any ATF form, but with this particular version, I'm having problems! P220 Smudge was kind enough to email me on this, but the 5320.23 he sent me gives the same result. Whenever I open the PDF file, I get a dialog box/message indicating that 'This document has been changed since it was created, and the use of extended features is no longer available'. I am using Adobe Reader and have tried this on two computers, using three different browsers with the same result! When opening from the ATF website in a browser, I doesn't populate the CLEO Copy regardless of what I try, and I can't type it in manually either, so I don't know.

I was able to get the complete ATF copy filled out within a browser tab using Firefox at which point I downloaded it. For some reason (and I've got NO idea why), Brave and Chrome would not complete the address box for the CLEO Agency. Anyway, while the browser tab was still open, I then changed/edited the Firearm info in Boxes 4a - 4e and downloaded it for the two add'l 'Pistols' I'm SBRing as well. I'll get those two pages of the ATF Copy printed, signed, and scanned to PDF, and then hopefully, assuming that's all they need, I may be all set on this.

All at once and drop them in the mail.

I used to wait and send them all at once when I was doing separate things. This time for my May submissions, I held them because I knew the cleo in my area was attending a continuing education class I was going to at his station. I handed them to him in person and he looked at me funny and said he’ll have his secretary log it and file it in the shredder.
