All this talk of high G maneuvering brought back a fuzzy memory from my days at NAS Key West.

IIRC an ACM Instructor "debriefing" us over rum and cokes at the Hogs Breath Saloon, slurred something about the G capability of the AIM9L Something about shootin them in the face (high G capable target with better T/W ratio) and let them dogfight with the missle. Wink

Sounds about right, to me. Smile Regards 18DAI

The key to AI is that ability of the machine to learn like the biological mind does. Once AI masters this, watch out.

This was just a feasibility study, which showed a lot of promise.

With improved learning, comes improved judgement, not just obeying orders or simple follow the instructions.

Even we are programed through learning. Although we all have a BIOS / firmware - the survival instinct being a very key part of the BIOS all biological machines have.

It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.

Ayn Rand

"He gains votes ever and anew by taking money from everybody and giving it to a few, while explaining that every penny was extracted from the few to be giving to the many."

You could be talking about deep learning (which is well beyond my abilities). The entertaining aspect of this is that the programmers have no idea how the machines actually do this.

Personally, I think the main advantage the machines have is a lack of bias. It factors into so much of our thinking and methods. We miss and overlook so much because of it.
