PASigAnother favorite of mine is the "Schmitter", as sandwich created at McNally's Tavern in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia.
I worked in Chestnut Hill from 1998 to 2003 and would often walk over to McNally's for a Schmitter, washed down with a few pints of Yuengling Lager, of course!

Not quite a cheesesteak, not quite a roast beef sandwich, it's unique in its own right.

flashguyBLTs are my favorite sandwich, but I don't make them at home (don't keep lettuce and tomatoes in my fridge)--there is a restaurant nearby that makes a pretty good one, though. (Had a couple Saturday evening.)

Dusty78I miss the NJ sloppy joe which is a triple decker (on rye I think) with either roast beef, pastrami, or corned beef and Swiss cheese, cole slaw, and Russian dressing.

Yes they are great! I grew up in the Philly area and when you ask for a Sloppy Joe, this is what you always get:
I graduated chef school in 1997 and got my first job in North Jersey, so imagine my confusion when I see a sign for Sloppy Joes at a deli and order one and get THIS:
