Help guys I cannot gain access to my account. Go through all the sign in steps then they request a code number and finally get one about an hour later it doesn't work.

Are you sure it’s real? I don’t recall ever needing a code beyond my password

Yes. I had to change my password.

Just went through it with my son's iPad when he forgot his password. Do you have a secondary email address listed? That's the only way I was able to finally get his iPad unlocked.

iCloud is working for me right now. A day or so ago iCloud was not accessible through my browser. At times, my laptop stops syncing with iCloud as well.

For security, two-factor verification is very important. You should have a smart phone listed in your iCloud account so you can get a text message with the code you then enter in your computer. Apple: why two-factor verification is important for security _________________________ “Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters. –Daniel Webster (1782-1852)"

I went through some funny stuff with mine, a couple weeks ago. I had the two factor authentication turned on, but wasn’t getting the 6 digit code consistently. I screwed with it for a couple hours, and then out of frustration, I logged out of my iCloud account on my phone, logged back in, and everything has worked perfectly since. Go to “Settings”, your Apple ID, and down to iTunes & App Store and log out. It’s worth a try.

Apple started something called "second factor authentication" so when you log in on one device then a second device does the "trust" thing or whatever and sends you a code to type in on the first device. Scroll to the bottom for how to disable. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204915 — Pissed off beats scared every time… - Frank Castle -- Sig P250c, Sig P250
