Help guys I cannot gain access to my account. Go through all the sign in steps then they request a code number and finally get one about an hour later it doesn't work.

Are you sure it’s real? I don’t recall ever needing a code beyond my password

Yes. I had to change my password.

Man of few words |
Just went through it with my son's iPad when he forgot his password. Do you have a secondary email address listed? That's the only way I was able to finally get his iPad unlocked.

iCloud is working for me right now. A day or so ago iCloud was not accessible through my browser. At times, my laptop stops syncing with iCloud as well.

For security, two-factor verification is very important. You should have a smart phone listed in your iCloud account so you can get a text message with the code you then enter in your computer. Just Hanging Around |
I went through some funny stuff with mine, a couple weeks ago. I had the two factor authentication turned on, but wasn’t getting the 6 digit code consistently. I screwed with it for a couple hours, and then out of frustration, I logged out of my iCloud account on my phone, logged back in, and everything has worked perfectly since. Go to “Settings”, your Apple ID, and down to iTunes & App Store and log out. It’s worth a try.

Apple started something called "second factor authentication" so when you log in on one device then a second device does the "trust" thing or whatever and sends you a code to type in on the first device. Scroll to the bottom for how to disable. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204915 — Pissed off beats scared every time… - Frank Castle
