Don't fall asleep while drunk and taking a piss in the woods when the temperature is -18 degrees.

Generally, it's a good idea not to fall asleep when taking a squirt - sneezing ain't a great idea either.

Hope you heal up.

Glad you are not dead. They would be a bad legacy to leave.

I assume someone found you. What was the ER trip for exactly? Razz

So, is "Chilly Willy" going to make it? Frostbite in about 30 minutes, and hypothermia if not well insulated.

I guess your job is less than boring, most of the time.

Sounds like you're flirting with Darwin...Maybe you shouldn't drink so much that you pass out ( regardless of the temperature ) ??

I'm glad they didn't need to amputate , like they sometimes do with toes ! Yikes !

EDIT : I didn't realize that you worked in ER...my apologies ! I've been in the OR for 35 years...I understand. mike

I don’t believe the OP is the patient in this story, rather one of the attending

Guys, the OP is a nurse in an ER in Alaska.

He didn't pass out pissing in the cold.

Ah, yes. Anytime I am feeling sorry for myself, a quick walk through my ER reminds me how great it is to be me: Upright, breathing without aid of machines, and with all of my appendages.
It really is a beautiful day Smile

Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with." -Douglas Adams
