I like Chappelle a lot. I think the Chappelle Show is one of, if not the, funniest TV shows of all time. Groundbreaking. I thought the Daphne story was pretty poignant and I enjoyed it as a closer to the show. That said, he rarely makes me laugh anymore and none of his Netflix specials have been very funny to me. I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log. | |||

My wife and I watched his show Friday night, the Daphne portion was touching and funny....Dave is truly one of the best current comedians...possible one of the best plain and simple. There has been no mention of the Daphne story in all the articles I have read. Of course that is purposeful.... And while it certainly is not surprising but how the alphabet people could possibly say he is anti-anything....hurts my brain | |||

Netflix doesn't like anyone stealing their shit, even audio-only versions. I can't say I blame them but they're still assholes, for lots of reasons. It seems to me that a little bite like that might actually encourage people to sign up for Netflix to see the full show, but what do I know? | |||

It's not the tweets- it's how they're handled Jimmy Dore knows this phony because Jimmy used to be part of The Young Turks and this fraud was a guest on that show. If there is one thing that has made me laugh more than anything else in my entire life it’s been African American comedians. They own it. Only white comedian I really loved was George Carlin, and may he RIP. Dave Chappelle, is the GOAT, surpassing even what everyone else says, Richards Pryor. Dave, Robin Harris, Redd Foxx, that’s my trifecta for my entire life. Robin was got damn hilarious. And I’ll tip my hat to J.B. Smoove because on Curb Your Enthusiasm, as Leon, he is got damn hilarious. “Is that a foist?” Dave will not cave. So the trannies are fucked. If Dave was white, yeah he might be cancelled forever, but not the black comedian. Ain’t gonna happen. They can whine. Wait.... THAT is what people are so up in arms about? I, sadly, haven't had a chance to see Dave's special. From the nonsense i read online, i though he was on stage crucifying LGBTQ+ %$zjy folks... That was a very heartfelt story, where Dave talks about someone he considered a friend. And his overall point, is someone who was, if not an ACTUAL practicing comedienne, but at least an aspiring one. And one who had some talent that was shortly to be realized... If THAT is what people are up in arms about (and the real shocking story should be, that I am somehow surprised that this is true in this day and age) that's absolutely insane. He could have been MUCH more offensive... I mean, ANYONE could have been. He found a way to be both heartfelt, make a tribute, AND be funny... The folks upset about this, are totally out of line. And that shouldn't surprise us. It does (hell it did me, i expected something much more off color) but sadly, these days it doesn't. Chappelle is one of those people that reminds me I am not nearly as smart as I think I am.... from the first time I caught one of his shows I was impressed by him ... his last net flex special was interesting for the simple fact it was not just him making jokes but explaining himself and NOT apologizing but pointing out the hypocrisy of those who pick and chose what he says and then demonize him.
