I think it was 10 years ago this weekend that I won a 228 from you. I still have it and shoot it often. I always think of your kindness on days like this.

I just popped in to never forget my appreciation for 12131's generosity on behalf of not just the veterans but all SigForum members. I like that rifle though, nothing like wearing your religion on your sleeve. Definitely better than "Kill 'em all and let god sort them out."

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

In on behalf of my father, US Army vet of the early Vietnam years.

I am thankful that he made it through and went on to raise his family.

I am thankful to those who did not make it back so that he could raise us.

Thank you for the chance.
