Fast food robber shot through drive thru window by someone in drive thru.
Well I sure as hell wouldn't have taken the shot, but he landed two on the bad guy. Too bad he didn't bleed out, but after his hospital recovery and jail sentence, maybe he will find a legal line of work.
Yeah, he went from "FILL THAT BAG, BITCH!!" TO "Dang, I got some extra holes in me, I'm shot'n'shit" in no time, didn't he?

So is it okay in California to shoot someone to stop them from getting away? Don't get me wrong-I'm happy the guy got shot-but I think the shooter will be facing charges if they find him.

Certainly he will face charges, it's California. Hell most states he'd face charges. I just enjoy the poetic justice of bad guys leaking as a result of trying to rob some guy or gal just going about their business. He deserves every bit of what he received be it a legal/smart shot or not.

It happens more than is commonly reported in CA. A lot of people carry illegally. If they have to shoot, leaving sometimes appears to be the best solution.

If a cop took those shots, he’d be in the frying pan. If they find the shooter, he will be too.
Hopefully the license plate was too illegible and the police don’t put too much effort into it.

Not a great plan to shoot thru the cups and just past the coffee maker, but he done good.
Question: could the shooter take the approach that they saw a gun and thought the clerk was in danger of her life, therefore it was shooting to save someone vs shooting to keep him from getting away? Change anything?
