That’s not good. I hope it gets under control with minimal loss and no injuries.

That sucks. The company I used to work for was close to them and I’d take colleagues to Bullseye to shoot the full autos.

Hopefully they get it put out with no injuries.

Was someone shooting tracer ammo?
Once saw a major give a LT an epic azz chewing for setting his machine gun range on fire with tracer ammo one hot dry day in June at Ft. Hood.

That is sad,they had some great machine guns on display.Probably lots of history will be lost.
The building was old so a fire does not surprise me.
The place had a country store feel and I bought my first can there.

Doubtful. Small fires on indoor ranges are common thing during normal operations. Depending on which trap system they use.

I was driving there to go to the range. It may not be as bad as it looked intially. A friend of mine was going to meet me there and he saw the fire a few minutes after me. He says it look like it may have been contained to the range, but this is not a big building. I hope I was mistaken. Either way, I'm gonna need a new place to shoot, at least for a while, perhaps permanently.

Googled it to check out the shop, found an interesting article on a guy that robbed them using a back hoe from a construction site.

Great video of the whole thing including watching the perp learn to drive the machine and almost getting run into by a car.

The wall you see is the gun range side of the store. As soon as I saw the smoke, I knew what had happened.

Some range fires start in the unburned powder from discharged cartridges that accumulates on the floor if it’s not kept clean.

I used to go there when I lived in Gwinnett county years ago.
They had a good store with fair prices and selection.
I hope it can be saved. A place like that would be hard to replace today in that area due to the value of real estate and other factors.

I hope the damage is minimal. No telling what kind of historical weapons they have in there. Good people, have spent a small fortune with them over the years

FYI They did the sound for the German machine guns in Saving Private Ryan

An indoor range in NE TN burned down a few years ago because someone apparently used tracer rounds inside. We have some bright ones around. Good thing is they built back a nice range and added on the their store. Only downside is now to use the range you have to buy their ammo.

That sucks. The range I first shot IDPA at, which was at the invite of members here who put together an intro to IDPA shot, burned down about 10 years ago. This was in Woodbridge, VA. They never rebuilt.

Speculation was a tracer round into the rubber backstop but I never heard a conclusive answer.

Hope your range survives and they are able to reopen.

Yep. Here's a Brazilian police shooting range that caught fire due to unburned powder on the floor.

You can see the fire start on the floor at the bottom left at about 1:30, and then quickly spread down the line as the rest of the powder that had accumulated just in front of the firing line goes up too.

Yes, this is quite common.

This happened a couple times inside Daniel Defense's test fire range when it was up in SC, ( I was on the range when it happened the second time, ) luckily, there was no rubber in front of the backstop and the range was cleaned twice a day at the end of each shift, so the amount of loose powder was minimal.

At those ranges where cleanliness is not maintained, fires are much more common.

I'll be glad to take you out to Cherokee Gun Club as my guest. It is $6 for the day! Right now all the pistol bays are closed for new construction, but the General Purpose ranges are open (25 yard to 100, and 220 yard).

If you want to shoot inside, Trigger Time in Flowery Branch isn't bad, and then there is Dead Center in Buford.
