Me thinks you're over reacting a bit. How about you don't get a job unless you can prove you're a US citizen? How about you prove you're a US citizen to get a drivers license? I've always had to prove my legal status when starting a job, since at least 1978. Illegals have either operated outside of the system as cash labor or use false documents.

I had to prove my citizenship to get a drivers license. I had to prove my identity when getting a bank account, buying a home, registering to vote, going to the doctor.

They need to take the highest profile politician away in cuffs and then see how quick the others fold.
Also, let's see the reaction from regular citizens of those places when the mayor or whoever gets perp walked for harboring the illegals.
