Yeah, that is why I don't believe Ramaswarmy for a minute that he would not consider the VP spot. He would take that position in a heartbeat.

It wouldn't surprise me if Trump has a clear idea who he would like, at least a short list, IMO it is likely. And also it wouldn't surprise me if he picks someone not running against him; he did it in 2016 with Pence. Eisenhower, Nixon, H.W. Bush, Clinton, W. Bush all chose VPs who did not run against them in the primaries.

Oh, this for me all over.

Because he says things you want to hear?

People said all the exact same shit about Trump.

He's not Trump. Stop thinking of him as Trump. We got lucky once. That's not a reason to roll the dice again.

He's got too much Soros on him.

I can smell it from here.

See this is exactly why I started this thread. We are mostly reasonable people here. You can smell Soros all over him? For fuck sake how? Give us some reason to think this is true other than your gut feeling. We sound like exactly the same types of people we loathe. Spouting off with nothing to back it up which makes it pure fiction. He took a scholarship from the Soros Foundation to pay for law school. That isn't stink, that is a guy smart enough to get Harvard paid for and he is basically a billionaire so remind us why he needs to be "funded" by anyone?

All I ask (in this thread) is we stick to the facts that I can quote, pass around, find source documentation to back up. No gut feelings, who does this sound like, blah blah blah.

Let's cease the bickering, please. State your case, make your points, but do your best, please, to not make this personal.

If I have to address this again, those involved will not like it.

I did raise an eyebrow to this, but I'm taking it in stride. But then Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a WEF/Schwab guy, looked awesome out of the gate when he was elected as a solid conservative, but turned out to be a RINO weasel, I hope he gets primaried out in Texas. Several months ago, Ramaswarmy started a lawsuit, suing the World Economic Forum for listing him as a "Young World Leader", Crenshaw and Haley both having the same title in their resumes, claiming he had not sought it out.

We'll see.

Went to hear him speak at an event Friday evening. Some of his responses seemed a bit non-committal but overall I think he's a solid option but at this point I'm fine to let this whole primary infighting BS run the course and I will see who is left standing come January when the primary happens here.

My problem with him is he's just like Obama. And I don't mean his skin tone.

To paraphrase a line from The Natural, He's an absolute nobody from nowhere.
As we saw with Obama and AOC, "nobodies from nowhere" don't magically get into the mix and become relevant in a high level race on their own. They got put there. That or he has Forrest Gump like attributes and just keeps "stepping in it", being successful at everything seemingly for no reason. Hmmm...

First off, anybody that both the leftists AND the neocons hate enough to go after has to be saying the right things.

Him being Hindu is like saying someone is Christian, only there are more sects of Hindi than all the other religions in the world combined. And no, it isn’t illegal to eat beef in India, about 30% of the population is not Hindi and eat beef on a regular basis. Being of Indian descent brings pluses and minuses, mostly pluses, in my opinion.

He took money from a Soros funded organization to get through law school? Good for him, less money for Soros to use against us. He is now a Billionaire, so he can’t be bought, doesn’t have to take bribes to get rich once in office.

I’m neutral on his foreign policy stance, we shouldn’t be dumping money into the Ukraine, but we shouldn’t abandon Taiwan once we get chip manufacturing back in the states, either.

I had low expectations of Trump, I only wanted him to not fuck up a couple of things, and he exceeded almost all of my expectations. Vivek I have higher expectations, so if he gets the nomination or tapped to be VP, and somehow end up in the WH, he will need to be a rock star.

After watching his demeanor on stage at that first "debate", it's hard to take him seriously. He's very immature. He claimed he "...didn't grow up in money." yet I've read he went to a prep/private school and had a fairly decent stock portfolio once he graduated. He seems confused.

Well he left college as a multi millionaire after he and another post grad sold an internet company called studentbusinesses.com or something like that. I don’t know about the prep school stuff.

Not that far fetched. A guy in my squadron started military.com and sold it 5 years later for like 40 million. It happens.

I agree people don’t just fall into races like this. I also think most people aren’t billionaires. They tend to fall into anything they want. Not really a huge surprise.
