I pulled the trigger on a new head unit and all the installation components for the Tundra.
Nice part is where I purchased from pre wires EVERYTHING. All I do is plug it in.
Granted I could do all the wiring it saved me a couple hours. Also with their Black Friday sale I got everything shipped for about $200 than any other time.
The company has been very responsive to questions I had. They actually had the units in stock which is unheard of at the moment.
Though they say with current order levels I am looking about 3 weeks for delivery.
Their Black Friday cost was nearly $200 less than their current price so I am pretty stoked.
Though it is likely going to force me to replace all the speakers and amp to aftermarket but ohh well.

I also ordered the AudioFrog GS25 speakers for the dash from another vendor. No Black Friday Discount but they are one of very few options to properly replace Tundra Dash speakers as they are midrange speakers.

I got some items to cover up the fake chrome on the dash, center console, and steering wheel that can be quite blinding when the sun hits them.

Also got a Crucial 1Tb SSD hard drive for to replace a smaller drive.

All in all I saved about $250. All these things I planned on getting sooner or later so worked out well I do believe.

Probably should have taken advantage of some sales but I'm getting ready to tighten the belt considerably so nothing. No non-essential purchases for awhile.....

I have been trying hard for years now, and nothing ever moves me.

The only thing that tempted me was a $30 item, marked down to $26. It wasn't he $4 that tempted me, but the item itself. If I decide I really need it, I'll go in debt for the extra $4 Wink

I keep a running shopping list of things I will eventually acquire or need. I then try to purchase these things when they show up during sales. I avoid paying full price for things where I can.

For Black Friday and Cyber Monday, I snagged the following deals:

1) JET 1000CFM Air Filtration System. 33% off.

2) 1/4" torque wrench, and a couple boxes of 5mil nitrile gloves from Harbor Freight. Each 30-40% percent off if I recall.

3) Tekton 1/2" Socket Set and for 20% cash back, which I then immediately applied towards a 3/8" Socket set with another 20% cash back on the balance.

4) A bunch of fluids, filters, and parts from FCP euro to include transmission fluid service kit, transfer case service kit, ignition coil and spark plugs, differential fluid service kit, and etc.

5) Vacuum Sealer

6) Bypass pruner. 20% off

7) Two Adam's Graphene Ceramic coating kits. 20% off.

8) A bunch of small gifts for my cousins for holiday parties. Each 30-50% off.

Not a thing. As the flurry of email and on-line adverts flew not a single thing moved me.

Part of that may be I've bought a lot of stuff in the last few months. Part of it may be I'm saving up Brownie Points for what my wife will certainly regard a stupidly YUGE amount of money for a killer 2011 :P

I am the same way. I keep a pretty solid Amazon wishlist and check it every couple of days to see if there are any warehouse deals.
Sure wish there was a way to get notifications when something in your wishlist has a warehouse deal available.

I tend to save larger buys/projects for Black Friday as I like to save hundreds of I can. I of course keep up with prices through out the year to be sure it is actually a good deal.

I did a full suspension on my truck last year saving about $350.
I had hoped to do Slee sliders this year but they went up $400 compared to the last time they were in stock and Slee had no advertised Black Friday deals.
So I went with the head unit.
