It is tough to lose such a friend. Now he is out of pain and rehashing old times with friends. Time to step up and try to fill his shoes. My Dad was a great man too. Too few ever knew it.

Back, and to the left |
Very sorry to hear of this. My condolences to you and your family. I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. -Ecclesiastes 9:11

So sorry that you and your brother lost a mentor and friend. I am Happy that he gets back to be with mom. I am not typically good at this but please know my heart is in the right place. John. ______________________________ " Formally known as GotDogs "

Your Dad sounds like a wonderful man, father and husband as well as a patriot...I know he will be missed by those who loved him but continue to take peace that he is with your Mom... You, your brother and family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers. ******************************************************** "we've gotta roll with the punches, learn to play all of our hunches Making the best of what ever comes our way Forget that blind ambition and learn to trust your intuition Plowing straight ahead come what may And theres a cowboy in the jungle" Jimmy Buffet

Your father sounds like he was a remarkable man. May he rest in peace and be with his wife forever. If you're goin' through hell, keep on going. Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it. You might get out before the devil even knows you're there. NRA ENDOWMENT LIFE MEMBER

Sorry for your loss and condolences to you and your family. It sounds like you'll have a lot of fond memories. Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves. -D.H. Lawrence
