And where have they been all this time? I have four siblings. If any of us were in trouble of that sort, the others would step in to help. But all I hear from the "family" is "when's payday."

Marine vet Daniel Penny's defense fund grows by staggering amount in one day

I do wish Perry was not having to go through this, of course, but something is going on here which is not immediately apparent, and it is tremendously satisfying.

There's a certain message in this if you look at it from the leftist perspective, which is always through a lens of race and color: we have a push by insane leftists and race hustlers to obtain "reparations" on the scale of millions of dollars per person and just this week, we've had a black California Democrat state senator telling all of those waiting for their undeserved handouts that it just ain't happenin' and at the same time, whitey "murdered" an "innocent black man" - choked him out in a modern-day lynching- and what happens? He gets instant reparations.

That is not the reality of the matter of course, but you can bet your bottom dollar that that is how the worst and biggest racists in our society (who think they can't be racists) are looking at it, and to those people I say FUCK you. Lap it up, boys and girls. You want to make everything- everything- about race? Well, this is what you get and this is what this racist, phony DA Bragg gets and this is what your news media co-conspirators get, and I guarantee you that the more you push your disgusting race war, the more "reparations" Perry will get.

Have a nice day Smile

I spent a satisfying portion of the day yesterday engaged in the reloading process. With a light rain outside and the comforting patter of rain on my shop roof and an ice cold Dr Pepper within reach on the table, I could let my mind ponder down a warren of thoughts. While passively listening to a fallen civilizations podcast it occurred to me that these race and cultural agitators are functionally whipping up a lynch mob. They are what they claim to be against. They are bigots, supremacists and criminals. The media and a corrupted justice system are their noose and we are their target. If we resist their oppression, we get the noose. With each gratifying clink of a freshly charged cartridge tumbling into the collection tub I smiled to myself at my gradually accumulating defense.

His grandmother told police in 2009 that Neely wouldn’t listen to them, cut school constantly and hung out with an older crowd.

“Jordan is a sweet kid, but he is very hard-headed,” she told authorities. “He will not listen to me or his grandfather … We don’t want him to get in trouble. He’s not a bad person … we hope Jordan can be helped in some way and start acting responsible.”

In 2010, he threatened to kill his grandfather, according to sources.

“They wouldn’t let him inside sometimes at night because they were afraid of him,” Berry told The Post. “I never saw him violent myself, but I saw him sleeping in the hallway in front of the [grandparent’s] door a lot.”

Sounds like a great guy, the type that you want to climb-up a steep hill for and die on.... Roll Eyes

This seems to be a common story- rock-head twenty-something guy thinks he's got all the answers, has zero common sense to figure out who are the positive influences in life, fucks-up soo much he's alienated his family, friends and is left homeless because he kept on making the wrong decision in the great game of life. Meanwhile the perpetually aggrieved conveniently ignore who this guy is and what he's been doing with his life to put himself into a situation where common citizens riding the subway, were forced to do something in order to stop his harassment and possible assault.

I'm sorry to say that the dead loon's aggressive nature doesn't matter to the left and they will discount it as much as they can. Michael Brown committed a strong-arm robbery of a convenience store clerk, then attacked a police office so aggressively that the officer was forced to shoot the worthless thug bastard, and what did the left make of all that? "Hands up, don
t shoot."

They are not interested in facts or reality or pragmatism. They are simply going to use Neely the way they used George Floyd and Michael Brown and many others. The leftists don't give a shit about any of those people, except to the extent that their dead bodies can be used to agitate, cause riots, and step on whitey.

And, of course, winning the ghetto lottery. They DO care that much.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Welcome to 2023, really anything post 2012.

If the story was written prior to 2012 then the story would be about how two unfortunate worlds collided one afternoon ending in tragedy. The first a story of a man who came from a broken home, struggled with the murder of his mother at age fourteen and how his life turned drugs to deal with his mental health issues and grieving. They'd highlight his run ins with the law and past other violent actions then sprinkle in some of the MJ impersonating stuff and done the whole two sides to a coin thing.

Then it would switch focus to the three guys who tried to subdue him during one of his episodes. It would do a smaller write up of what was going through the heads of the people helping the young student/soldiers, then it would focus in on him and having to live with someone's death resulting from an act to protect others and how he's going to have get past it and make the rest of his life.

Instead in 2023 media: Guy who was MJ impersonator has life snuffed out by overly aggressive toxic masculinity racist military guy looking to kill the first black man within choking distance.

Alvin Bragg's Office Wants to Control What Witnesses Say About Daniel Penny at Trial

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/...d-samaritan-n2646927

Prosecutors from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office are reportedly asking the judge overseeing Daniel Penny's trial to not let witnesses call the U.S. Marine Corps veteran a "good Samaritan" or a "hero" in court, as jury selection is underway.

According to The Gothamist's reporting on an email exchange between prosecutors and Penny's defense attorneys, Assistant DA Dafna Yoran raised alarm over how witnesses could characterize the defendant after watching an interview Penny's counsel conducted on FOX 5 New York highlighting their client's heroic actions on the subway.

“Danny doesn't have to be a hero," Penny's lawyer, Thomas Kenniff, told the local outlet during a sitdown TV interview last week. "But he's someone who did the right thing. He's someone who stood up for his fellow man, for his fellow New Yorkers. He was put in a difficult situation: either cower and do nothing — when Jordan Neely is descending on a mother and her child in a baby stroller, which is part of the factual narrative of this case — or stand up and try to protect."

Yoran said the Democrat DA's office was worried that the defense might try to prompt witnesses to assess whether Penny's actions that day were warranted. Bragg's underling then asserted that witnesses shouldn't be allowed to use the terms "good Samaritan" and "hero" to describe Penny, arguing that they're subjective phrasing based on opinion.

"A witness's characterization of the defendant [as] a hero, for example, is the equivalent of a determination that the [defendant] was justified," Yoran wrote.

Rather, it should be up to the jury to decide whether Penny was justified — not the witnesses testifying about the facts, she said.

In response, Kenniff said that the witnesses who rode the subway with Penny were the ones using those words mere "minutes after this incident." Accordingly, their account of what happened should be heard in the courtroom, Kenniff countered.

"It describes what they perceived: Neely acting as the aggressor, and Mr. Penny acting to defend and protect," he replied.

As of Tuesday, with the jury selection process stretching into a second week, the judge presiding over the proceedings has yet to rule on this request.

On May 1, 2023, Penny was filmed subduing Jordan Neely, a homeless black man acting aggressively towards other passengers riding the subway, including women and children, in a chokehold lasting approximately five to six minutes. "Someone is going to die today," Neely threatened, according to witnesses. "I want to hurt people. I want to go to Rikers. I want to go to prison."

Neely later died. Penny is now facing manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide charges over Neely's death, with prosecutors arguing that he acted recklessly resulting in this loss of life.

"I'm not trying to kill the guy," Penny told police during questioning. "I'm just trying to de-escalate the situation."

He added, "I'm just trying to keep him from hurting everyone else. That's what we learned in the Marine Corps. That's what you guys learn today as police officers."

At the start of Penny's trial, Black Lives Matter activists heckled him on his way into the courthouse, calling him a "murderer."

Donning "Malcolm X" merch, some of the "Justice for Jordan Neely" protestors held signs that accused Penny of "Racist Vigilantism" and "White Supremacist Violence." One poster demanded that the jury "Convict Daniel Penny" for "This Modern Lynching."

"This is a race thing!" BLM of Greater New York's co-founder Hawk Newsome shouted into a megaphone.
