Really? I could barely keep awake during some of it. The previews were more entertaining than the movie. Sure it had some cool moments but come on. More Hollywood political correctness?

Well, Black Panthers big mouth sister did give the white folk plenty of verbal put downs during the whole show........Colonizer, White Boy, Broken White Boy.

Quite modern and edgy. Not pandering at all

Hopefully the movie about the gay "white boy" and his out of this world singing abilities wins and we can enjoy the fallout.

I like a good Marvel movie as much as anyone, but fuck them and their movie.

Black Panther is hands down the worst Marvel movie I’ve seen, and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen all of them. The overt racism really put it over the top (or in this case, under the bar). Bohemian Rhapsody totally blew it out of the water in every single respect.

I liked Black Panther, but an Oscar? Lol, when was the last time an action/sci-fi/fantasy/superhero movie was seriously talked about for an Oscar?

All of the X-Movies were pretty cool, the new Disney Star Wars movies are cool...yet no one seriously talked about them being nominated. But for the appropriately called out "white guilt," why on earth would Black Panther be nominated? Same with BlaKkKlansman?

The fact that so many people think black folks are incapable of doing things the rest of us do and thus deserve a round of applause when they tie their shoes correctly tells me who the real racists are.

I'd think this was some PC, bullshit, handout if I was a black person.

Gotta make sure the children get their gold stars and participation trophy.

Interesting that Black Panther is the only movie I've seen out of that entire list, and I didn't think it was very good when compared to some of the other Marvel movies. Hollyweird is running on fumes anyway right now given their incredible lack of creativity and new ideas.

Black Panther started too slow and I fell asleep. Closest I came to watching any on the list.

Black Panther was actually pretty awful. The villain wasn't even one dimensional. Yeah, this is just typical hollywood pandering.

Green Book, Vice, or The Favourite. Panther even being nominated is a disgrace to the Academy. It’s the equivalent of a participation trophy. I’d say the same if any SuperHo film got nominated. This is a joke.

Despite your handle, your choice here has more to do with common sense than attitude. Get kicked in the nads enough times, why go looking for that again? Not an experience to miss out on.
