| Um....a good brand. Maybe Ferd Motr company? But at 195k, a rebuilt one will do just fine. It should last as long as the rest of the vehicle, or the major failure that kills the truck.

Haha, touche. Yeah likely going reman but wasn't sure as the only two on that list that I've heard of/used before are ACDELCO and Bosch. I guess I should have asked if there were any to stay away from there.
Success always occurs in private, and failure in full view.

| Motorcraft (OEM) $195, you got 15 years and 195k out of the origional, replace it with an origional. |

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should
| Desno, Delco, Bosch are the brands I'd pick just because the chances are probably better. They are all around the same price and not much more than the cheaper ones.

Yep, a big one right here in Orlando. When I had to replace the alternator on my 2001 F-150 last year that's where I went. Think they charged me like $60 for a rebuild Motorcraft part and gave me a one year warranty with it. So far its doing what it should be doing.

I concur. For the price, OEM is the way to go. |
