And here, a photo of Dave's work! (And he makes rings much better than I take pictures!)

Original post:
I love my wife, best one I've ever had...and she never really looses anything, but we're pretty sure she lost her wedding ring set. Made by our own Dave Truong, of course.

We hosted friends on Friday night. She had the rings on then. I went to bed early because I had to be up for work at 03:30. When I came home early Saturday afternoon she asked if I had seen them. She took them off after her girlfriends left, getting ready for bed, and hadn't left the house all day.

We looked up and down, all around...looked through every bit of garbage/recycling, drains, disposal, laundry, under all the furniture and cushions, every drawer, every coat pocket, bathroom crevice...you name it. And then we did it again. And then we did it again with a friend helping.

Don't think the dog ate it, but at this point we think it has either been thrown out inadvertently or she put it somewhere before she went to bed that was the best hiding spot in the house (she had the better part of a bottle of wine, I'm sure).

The rings are insured as an add-on to our regular insurance, thankfully, but I don't like the idea of what impact filing a claim would be. "Loss" is a covered situation. Despite that, if it doesn't turn up I think we will file--though I'm not sure how long we will wait. Not really in a hurry.

The irony is that her mother lost her wedding ring at about the same point in her marriage, and they just celebrated their 42nd anniversary. Big Grin

I thought it was most of a bottle of wine...

She clarified, somewhat sheepishly, that it was really two bottles of wine, but one of her girlfriends was helping by drinking about half of one Roll Eyes

I'm very glad it was found, but confused--I see several quotes of the post where the recovery was declared, but the original post doesn't appear to be anywhere.

Very nice and glad you found it.

My wife came in the door bawling and squalling right after we were married. She held up her wedding ring and the solitaire was gone.

Found it on the bathroom floor snuggled down in the carpet.

Went and got it insured right after that!!

Chongo, that is great!!

Now, I lost some Raybans 3 weeks ago..I've even opened every box in the attic (we were XMas decorating that day-and we took a walk about the new neighborhood). I've looked everywhere...

sighs...

and I'm aggravated about losing something I've had for 4 years that my wife gave me....

got any hints??

Look behind the toilet. 1975 I rented an apartment in the historic part of town and found a tarnished, many decades old sterling silver band, down between the floor boards.

Reckon that means Dave can stand down now.

I was following the thread with some interest. The wife comes home tonight after making groceries over at Publix. She had butcher cut her up some meat, had to wipe her hands up with a towel after handling it...She finished shopping, checked out and driving home before she noticed her ring missing. Frantic, drove back to the store and found it on the floor in front of meat counter!
