Not said often enough, but THANK YOU Para and the others who make this such a great resource for knowledge, humor and occasional venting.
Well done one and all!

I was just talking with a fellow forum member the other day about how great it is that their are no ads on SIGforum, and that para runs a tight ship keeping the riff-raff out.

Thanks Para!

I can only echo the sentiments already posted here. Para deserves the kudos and thanks for the service he provides.

I got a note last night from one of the other big pistol sites. Long-time admin stepping away. He sold the site a few years back and stayed on in a paid capacity. Well, the site was resold recently to a company that's killed web forums from guns to cars. There were problems in the past few weeks with logins or some such site service. The guy had no contacts with the new conglomerate that owns the site and could not get things fixed for days.

After reading about that mess and the likely anti-gun leanings of that website conglomerate, I'd also like to express my thanks to Para for keeping this site free, uncluttered, and old school Web 2.0.

They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

After just finished reading a big giant post elsewhere on another board, I was about to start this very thread. Thanks for starting this, Pale Horse. Smile

Yup. I got the same email you guys did. It reminded me how good we have it here.

Thanks Para, LBJ and the membership. Love this place. If there's breaking news, I come here first. There are always several members that can offer more insight than the MSM.

I believe it is the best of the online forums, regardless of topic or interest.
If the need should arise, I will kick in some $$$ to keep it that way.
Thank you.

Yeah I read the big giant post on the other board, and it opened up my eyes. We don't often see the behind the scenes stuff. We login to the board, we expect it work. We often forget that there is a real live human on the other end that works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, keeping things running. They could be doing other things, but they sacrifice their time and energy to keep the board up and running.

It was a real heartbreaker and painful to read that his baby had been so neglected and "changed" for the worse after he sold the board.

So thanks to Para, for the hard work, and for never selling his passion to some conglomerate that wont take care of it, wont care if it goes down, and just tries to milk it for ad money.
