My wife made an appt. You have to pay up front and did with our CC. They come to your area to do the screening usually once a year. Later she decided to cancel. They said they don't give refunds and would give us a Lifeline gift card. I got on the phone and asked to speak to a supervisor. After going back and forth she agreed to gives us a refund. It will take 5-7 days. Days go by and no refund. I call again. Oh, the person you talked to failed to issue the credit. It will take up to 14 days (what happened to 5-7 days) ? 14 days later no credit. Now we have the CC company involved. Nothing but a scam IMO. Stay away.
Over the last few years a lot of medical care has become like a production line.
What is the most efficient way to pass the most people thru some sort of "service" ? That is the question being asked.
Quality has dropped. It is mostly about $.
Medical Care is now driven by making money.
obamacare caused many doctors to join large operations. "Little" guys got rolled up. Big companies have staff to handle all the increased paperwork (from govt and insurance companies) and to wade thru the regulations.
Required by a former employer for only a couple years, on their dime. They had a remote Dr review of it and that sometimes initiated a phone call with him. If you didn't play the game then no employer insurance.
It saved the life of a young coworker (his words) who had a previously undetected cancer.
Some people spread happiness wherever they go… some whenever they go.

Wow. That thread could not have been any clearer.
Well that does explain the fresh thread! As though you guys forget anything ever, let alone in a few weeks.
For the record, there is zero chance I'd have come back in the wake of that to offer up with emphasis advice I just ignored. I'd be quietly dealing with my refund and shame over here in the corner.

I don't know the company, but may have been this one. My friend, just turned 50, very fit and active. He and his wife have the shared medical you hear commercials for... anyway, they did one of these $500-1000 screenings where they look over your body. He had significant plaque buildup in his LAD, usually the widowmaker, as it supplies so much blood and oxygen to your heart. But for the test, he would have never known. In fact his primary care Dr didn't hold much stock in it... He pressed and had a stress test, had blockages cleared, and??? who really knows, no one is guaranteed tomorrow. But, I feel as does he, the scan saved his life.

I went thru those screenings with that company a few years ago. Never again. I told they why when they asked about my experience and I told them I would never do that again. 5 different screenings that probably took a total of 10 minutes, but I spent 5 hours waiting for my turn. In spite of the fact that I told them to remove me from their list, they still send me crap in the mail ever year and my episode with them was probably more than 10 years ago. I’ll stick with my doctor who has been my Dr. Since 1980.
