I need new tires before winter for my 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport. I don't do much off-roading, but when I do, it seems like there is at least a couple of feet of wet snow on the ground. So I would like something that's good on the streets and highways but that can also get me around the orchard in the snow. I usually buy from Discount Tire. I looked at Toyo Open Country A/T II but they said those are no longer available but they can get the OC A/T III. Otherwise, it looks like I may go with Goodyear Wrangler Trail Runner A/T. I was hoping some members here have experience with one or the other of these, or could recommend something better. By the way, tire size is 225/75R-15. ... stirred anti-clockwise.

Look at 235/75/15, more popular, more choices & almost the same size. ~2% larger, less than the variation between brands/models. It won't affect your speedo much, if it noticeable at all.

Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here. I don’t have a Jeep, but on my old F150 I loved Cooper AT3s. I will buy them again for my new truck when I need new tires. Also, most of their tires are made in the USA. I also like this BF Goodrich KO2’s but they are a bit more aggressive. There are 3 kinds of people, those that understand numbers and those that don't.

These are the tires that came with my new Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. In 8000+ miles so far I like them. ------------------ Eddie Our Founding Fathers were men who understood that the right thing is not necessarily the written thing. -kkina

BF Goodrich K02 A/Ts are the go-to tire around here (and what I run). Great off-road, great in snow, and pretty darn quiet on the road considering their aggressiveness. Whatever you do, don't get a M/T tire. They are designed to "float" on mud, so think about what they would do in snow.

Just a thought... I do not have a Jeep, but am hard looking... Facebook market place, yes I know, everyone hates it... FB Market place often, very often has folks buying Jeeps, and lifting them, putting on bigger tires etc. At least weekly I see wheels and tires in almost brand new, to barley used condition being sold for a steal off of Jeeps. You may consider looking there.

Where at in Mi? We may need to talk. ***someone*** (hint-hint) has 5 Wrangler 245/75R16’s on black rims & lug nuts. ![]() Email is in the profile. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. ^^ If that one doesn't work out. When I had my F150, I was between the BFG KO2 for an A/T tire, or Michelin LTX for a highway tire. Sold the truck before making a decision. The Enemy's gate is down.

I’m normally a BFG guy but the last set of ATs on my 2500 were not too good. They would pac with snow and become useless...couldn’t even back up my drive in 4 wheel. My new Gladiator came with Falken Wildpeak MTs and I was/am impressed with them. So much so that, when I upsized to 37s, I got the same tire. So I’d go with the Falken ATs if I was you... _____________________________ Pledge allegiance or pack your bag! BFG KO2 is a just a great tire. I’ve got the KM2 on my JKU Recon but would definitely mount the KO2 if I wanted an all-around AT tire. It’s been around forever and is very hard to beat. 0:01

Another vote for BFG KO2. Can’t say how they are in snow but on everything else, on and off road, they’re great.

This is what I have on my 2010 2 dr Jeep Wrangler Sport 4WD. Different size though after a lift kit and different wheels. The Goodyears that were on my Jeep were useless in snow.

I’ll be the second to say that the K02’s are pretty awesome. I haven’t been disappointed in them. They have done me really well.

Goodyear Wrangler Authority, 31x10.50x15 sold by Wal-Mart. On my second set on my 2005 LJ, which came with 30x9.50x15 originally. My speedometer is actually more accurate with the 31s. I got 65K miles out of the first set. They aren't that loud on road, and pull good off road, as long as you aren't in sticky, pudding-type mud. I have an automatic with 3.73 gears, so if you have 3.08s, you may want 235/75R15s instead. Good luck.

I ordered a set of Cooper At3 4s. Made in america and direct competition to those POS over at goodyear. They have the 3 peak snow rating but dont look super aggressive. Cant go wrong with Falken wildpeak at3 either. I have heard nothing but great things about contential terraincontact AT too.

Doublesharp - How do the tires feel on the open road? I've had nothing but Michelins on my Ridgeline and am very happy with them. However, I need new tires.....
