Savor the limelight |
I don't either, but that's the way it works with cars and other vehicles. In any state I've ever purchased a vehicle in, the sales tax has always been calculated on the pre-rebate price. The money from the rebate was never in my hands and yet I still paid the sales tax on it. That money went from the manufacturer directly to the retailer. I think this is the same type of transaction at B&H Photo and why NY is taking issue with it. I suspect NY will win.

Why don’t you fix your little problem and light this candle |
Jewish companies are not known for fraud or even tax avoidance. I am with B&H on this one. This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it. -Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Joshua Painter Played by Senator Fred Thompson

I wonder of there is a Jewish lawyer in NYC that is willing to represent them... NRA Life Member Steak: Rare. Coffee: Black. Bourbon: Neat.

Please edit your thread title, it's inaccurate. "New York does it again... trying to screw an honest business" NY is trying to screw every business. Toxic to every business large and small and they can't figure out why all the companies and all the jobs are leaving. _____________________________________________________ Sliced bread, the greatest thing since the 1911.
