Depends upon whether he puts what's called a "rewrite rule" in his server config to automatically rewrite HTTP requests to HTTPS requests, as Para did with SF. "America is at that awkward stage. Well that explains why my MS Edge Browser "automatically" changed http to https in my default sites to load. Wondered about that. SSL cert added to the image hosting. No need to update image links (it won't hurt if you have). All the avatars hosted there should be working now.
