THIS is the way.

One of the easiest and best skills to know for breakfasts. If you're a champion of cast iron cooking, this is a must recipe to know.

The video he uses clarified butter...not necessary. Just make sure your pan is ripping hot, blend high-speed to aerate the batter, have enough butter, then powder sugar the shit out of it.

Good alternative..

Ahhh the Berkeley of Santa Rosa-area the apples have been harvested, what brings you to the area? My busy season just kicked-in and I'll be traveling in/out of the region till the end of the year. Fortunately, there's no shortage of good eating and places to check-out.

I've found sourdough makes a tasty French toast. Soaks up a lot of the egg mix and doesn't get soggy. Pancakes are good (hated them as a young kid) and a little more work and I'm lazy.

Both!
In my opinion goes the following...
Home made Raisin Bread French Toast.
Blue Berry Pancakes from IHOP.

Also please consider...
Pecan Waffles from Waffle House.

Add as many Fried Eggs, Bacon, Grits, and Hash Browns as you would like...!

Regards

I know I've mentioned this here before, but I'm reminded of a trip I made with friends to eastern NC a couple of years ago. We ended up at the Waffle House at sometime well after midnight, after a number of adult beverages. My "brother from another mother" asked the sweet young waitress, "you got any pancakes?"

Eek

She looked at him, smiled, and in her sweet NC/TN drawl (she was from TN, originally, we learned) she said: "Um... it's the Waffle House..."

Big Grin

We refer to that event often. Smile

That said, I'm down for French toast just about anytime. And now I'm thinking about pancakes for dinner!

God bless America.
