Oh, you better be careful what you say -especially if you are in England, the police will come bust your door down if you talk bad about the policy or the hospital.

This is plain murder, there is no medical or cost justification for the decision to deny the family permission to leave the country.

I saw this comment on Facebook, in regards to the police departments tweet. It made me LOL

No, they voted for it, and they csn vote in new guys, too. Candidates stand for Parliament every election which, as we have experienced, do matter.
This despicable act shows they have been voting for the wrong types. It’s what they wanted and have allowed.

Yes... they voted for it.
What many people don't realize is that when you vote for socialism, what you get is tyranny.
You can have socialism, or you can have freedom, but you can't have both socialism and freedom.

'Merseyside' - A course of 'Treatment' (???) in Socialized Healthcare implemented when the 'Regulators' decide to withhold not only medical care, but oxygen and nourishment in order to expedite the death of the patient....And refuse to permit ANY pursuit of alternative care outside of the 'System'! Due to corruption and incompetence, anything the government touches eventually turns to crap. I see this applies in England as well as the US. Maneuvering through life successfully depends in a large part on being able to learn by other peoples mistakes. This case in England presents a good example.

I would think and hope this will cause a paragon shift in the British electorate.

What a disgusting situation.

I think you will be disappointed. If you go to the tweet or Facebook post the police made you will see tons of people thanking them and condemning anyone who would criticize the hospital or the government making the decision.

Churchill would be so ashamed.

quote:
"You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police. Yet in their hearts there is unspoken – unspeakable! – fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts! Words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home, all the more powerful because they are forbidden. These terrify them. A little mouse – a little tiny mouse! – of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic."

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

I like some of The Clash music. No doubt the Brits were part of the Punk movement...they have no problem putting on leather jackets, spiking their mohawks, chain smoking, and saying "fuck" a lot...but when it comes to real rebellion, rebellion against tyranny, rebellion against an oppressive government run agency funded by tax-payer dollars and aided by an oppressive police force...where are they?

Why are the streets of Britain not flooded with rioters protesting the government-sponsored murder of one of their own children, not to mention the gestapo like tactics of the local police?

If the boy dies of his condition despite the best efforts available then so be it. Not all life can be saved. But to refuse the boy and his parents the opportunity, the hope, to try and save his life, and instead withhold/ prevent treatment is unconscionable. The parents should be the ones to decide what course of treatment to choose and how long they would fight to save him...not the British government.

My thoughts and prayers go out to poor Alfie Evans and his parents.

Maybe they need to quit worrying about “Long live the Queen” and pay more attention to “Long live Alfie Evans.”

I was amazed at how many people see absolutely nothing wrong with starving to death an infant

morally degenerates - all of them

but I suppose none of them has ever 'starved'

disgusting intended consequence of socialized medicine (and this is exactly what Obamacare wanted to be)

The Punkers were prophets.

The Housemartins - The People Who Grinned Themselves To Death

They smiled so much and waved their flags
As she saluted to the military band
Most of the people failed to see
She had a broken bottle in the other hand
And she took them by surprise
When she took them by the throat
And said "my friend you're not allowed to vote"
But they shook it all off
With a nervous laugh and cough
"next time," she said "i'll let those people choke"

The people who grinned themselves to death
Smiled so much they failed to take a breath
And even when their kids were starving
They all thought the queen was charming

She polished all upon the wall
And ran her hands right through her hair
So if the lady took the time to call
All the houses on the street would not compare

And she thought it really funny
That she hadn't any money
But those she looked up to, they had
But they shook it all off
With a nervous laugh and cough
And when they took her riches it was sad

The people who grinned themselves to death
Smiled so much they failed to take a breath
And even when their kids were starving
They all thought the queen was charming

As far as I'm concerned any Brit who isn't storming Parliament over this issue is no better than the Germans who looked the other way during the Holocaust. Moral high ground is gone. Every time some Brit attacks our 2A rights we should simply say Alfie Evans.

Yeah they ran through the briers and they ran through the brambles
And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go
They ran so fast that the hounds couldn't catch 'em
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
