Part of the rational of firing all/most of management is to send the clear message that corrupt and political actions will not be tolerated. You don't have to fire all the agents in the field, just make sure they are scared for their jobs if they fail to uphold their oaths.

Re-educatr the remaining agents on the Constitution and the law.

There will be holdouts, but they will eventually out themselves and can then be individually fired.

In this real world, we can't just fire all of the FBI. But we can greatly downsize starting at the top.

The fact that so few even attempted to speak out indicates that there is a substantial personnel problem at all levels. Simply saying "I am afraid for my career and my dental plan" isn't good enough. I also do not buy that 1811s couldn't find creative ways to discreetly pass information to the right places, even if they didn't formally file whistleblower complaints.

Management is the easiest target for the time being, but shouldn't be all that is done.

Every 1811 in the Bureau has required financial disclosures, background questionnaires, and criteria including polygraphs that are used to evaluate suitability for retention. The dirty secret is, depending on which questions are asked, and HOW they are asked, they can throw your polygraph. As Friend and Seraphin found out, they can force just about anyone to separate, given enough harassment and unpaid leave.

I can scarcely wait to see the announcement of President Trump’s FBI Director appointment. It would be sweet to see Mike Flynn get that post, but probably that won’t happen.

Are you saying everyone at the FBI should be fired, laid off or reassigned to posts that we know they won't accept, as pretext to firing them?

What about the IRS? Complete liquidation or nah? For myself, yep, get rid of all of them carte blanche. I'm firmly in the camp of the fed govt needs an 85-90% reduction immediately. IRS, ATF, FBI, DHS, Dept. of Education, EPA, FDA, CDC, and most of the intelligence communities, etc. And IDGAF about any of the "good" people working there. Good people lose their jobs with no warning all the time, and these "good" people shouldn't be exempted from it. A massive RIF needs to happen. I understand you feel differently though, and it's highly probably that nothing even remotely resembling mass layoffs is going to happen.

As suggested by someone on X: the IRS should be replaced by an A.I. program; simplification of the tax code at the same time would greatly decrease the cost of collecting taxes, and increase the accuracy of tax returns.

Even cheaper yet, an across the board 10% tithe to the government for everyone, regardless of income. With spending cuts, we'd be swimming in money and there would be no need for an IRS. No deductions, no nothing. 10% for everyone.

I don't think the issue with the FBI are the agents and agree upper management is the real problem so get rid of them.

It is the deeply embedded middle management with all of these departments/ agencies. Most of these leaches survive regime changes and circumvent the replaced upper echelon. Getting rid of upper management alone does not remove the cancer. This is what DJT didn't realize in term One, but He certainly knows it now.

Everyone goes. If they want to come back they can go through a rehire process, where they may or may not get rehired. This would probably allow easier circumvention of union and regulatory issues.

They will offer a retraining program for how to use the controls on a garbage truck.

They need to seriously start looking for another line of work. Those at the top need to be investigated for crimes. Those further down the ranks who allowed the BS to occur and remain silent in order o collect a check are no better. I would rehire the whistleblowers to help clean house.

I want Mike Flynn to serve wherever he can most be effective. But Flynn as head of the FBI would be most fun. It’d be very satisfying to watch him take the helm and proof that life can sometimes be both circular and poetic.
