Was that you or the dog? |
Just curious if I am alone here in this community when it comes to being conspicuous. My vehicle has nothing on it to indicate that I am Pro 2A. No "Protected By..." stickers, manufacturer's banners. Would never see myself doing the open carry thing. I carry myself in public as though everyone is armed so I mind my manners. Everyone gets to do their own thing and I get that but in this like-minded group, what vibe are you sending out? ___________________________ "Opinions vary" -Dalton

I just go about my business, making sure I don’t “print”. I do keep an eye on people, noticing that most folks are oblivious to their surroundings. I just keep the lowest of profiles.

I life a low profile, no drama life. I do display my NRA decal on my truck and will continue to do so. Just my two cents but I refuse to let antigunners (the few we have around here) cow me into hiding my stance.

While I am sometimes tempted, I do not have any tags indicating political or 2A preferences. Where I think the low profile served me well was on a delivery in Philadelphia. Had to park in a delivery zone. Got a parking ticket. If you don’t recall, Philadelphia has some laws about concealed carry, like you can’t. Any 2A stickers might have aroused more interest from the local police, which might have proved unfortunate. Under the radar would seem to be a good idea. I’ll let others do the advertising.

I don't put stickers on my vehicles, never have. I don't do the signs on my house either. .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

Well, yes and no. I don't advertise, and my on body carry is invisible. On the other hand, I usually also carry a Maxpedition Fat Boy. People who are gun people recognize what's in the bag. No one else notices. I know this, because after a year of carrying the bag to a business networking group, I took one of the members shooting, and he was astonished when I pulled a gun out of that bag on the range. People are generally so fixated on their own lives, that they don't see what others are doing. "I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation." I’ve been a Life Member of the NRA for over 25 years, but you won’t see a gun-related logo on me or any of my vehicles. Why advertise that I may be carrying or have a gun in my vehicle?

Just having a good time |
I only open carry on my farm. No decals or such showing. OK,my Sig shirt every now and then . I always have something on me or very close. My friends know,no one else needs to. " I didn't fail the test,I just found 100 ways to do it wrong." - Benjamin Franklin

I do not have any stickers on my vehicle regarding guns. I have 1 that notifies that I have a service dog in case of an emergency. My very 1st gun was/is a Ruger & I do have a patch on my everyday wear jacket that says "Ruger, Law Enforcement Products". Even before I had the patch, people always thought that I am a police officer, even more so now. They say it's the way I carry myself. My husband is a police officer. So I don't go out of my way to advertise or hide my status.

On the rare occasions that I have worn an NRA hat in public (i.e. not at the range), I have been greeted by like-minded folks. I never received a negative reaction. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

I Am The Walrus |
Nothing on my cars as I don't own any guns. But I do see quite a few guys with some sort of gun decal on their cars/trucks in my profession. One guy has a Sig sticker on the back of his truck and I asked him what he carried. He said he has a Glock 19 in the truck but no Sigs. LOL. _____________

I try to keep a low profile, but my red GMC pickup has a Marine Corps license plate on the front, and on the rear window I have a 3"x 5" American flag sticker & a Flight 93 Memorial sticker. It seems that nowadays any of those could be considered symbols of intolerance & oppression, and would be enough to enrage any liberal or progressive in the area. ------------------------------------------------ "It's hard to imagine a more stupid or dangerous way of making decisions, than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong." My car always looks like the dealer just handed me the keys to it. As for CCW, unless I'm wearing elastic waistband pants (only at home and gym), I'm carrying. Don't care if I print or my shirt rides up sometimes. When driving, it's in my cupholder and, when I get out of the car, I exit and then clip it IWB. Doesn't matter if anyone sees it. OC is totally legal and customary in AZ. If I ever have to go deep concealed, I'd carry something a lot smaller than a P220R Carry.

Another "low profile" guy here. Even my unadorned car - a white Toyota Corolla - is low profile.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should |
Another low profile guy here. Very few other than my wife know I carry regularly and I have no branded items, stickers, apparel, etc., to give it away. Whenever I see someone that does, I look them over more closely to see if I can spot anything. Other than the few open carriers, they are usually pretty hard to spot otherwise. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

In my dress there is nothing flashy, I don't wear "Tactical" save my Danner boots. But my truck is another story, I have a few decals touting that I'm a safety instructor, several training groups I have attended, "We The People", NRA, Masonic, and a Trump sticker. I travel in areas where snowflakes and anti Trumpers are but never have problems. I will say that in the Baltimore City I get a lot of thumbs up when I'm driving along. Chris

In the past I was extremely low profile. I’ve been EDCing for 30+ years, some of that time as a LEO. Now, not so much. I've come to realize that the LEE-Bore-Als have stepped all over the gun owners/carriers in this country. They have tried to portray us as "nut jobs" "coo-coos", "killers" etc... So now I don't care about keeping a low profile. I have a Molon Labe license plate frame on one car and a Molon Labe Red/White/Blue helmet sticker on the other - along with my I Stand Flag sticker. I wear my gun logo caps when I hit the range and when I go to eat out afterword's. I have several gun logo sweatshirts too. I own my business, inside are "a few" pro-gun items (2nd Amendment Clock, Pro Gun Magnets, Stickers, and even a Concealed Carry Permitted here sign.) Over the last half-dozen years or so, I have made some really good contacts with customers who are like minded because of it. The Lee-Bore-Als, keep their mouths shut - just the way I like it. It helps that we have a waiting list for clients, last month someone who had been waiting for 12 months got in, so we can kind of pick and choose clients... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.
