That rug really tied the room together. |
This kid is brain dead for life. The North Koreans would rather send him home than care for him for the rest of his life. That is the ONLY reason he came home. ______________________________________________________ Often times a very small man can cast a very large shadow

The young man died in North Korea, they only sent back animated remains. I do not mean that in an ugly or sarcastic manner. That boy is as dead as Karen Ann Quinlan was the day after her overdose. I hope his family is not turned into a media circus act. "the meaning of life, is to give life meaning" ✡ Ani Yehudi אני יהודי Le'olam lo shuv לעולם לא שוב!

I have seen no information indicating that it was anything different that the current Administration did that got him back. When dealing with a regime that does or does not do other things for irrational reasons—or no reason at all—it’s hardly even worth guessing. Keep in mind that unless President Trump or Secretary Tillerson took a personal interest in this case for some inexplicable reason and said, “Get that boy back by whatever means necessary,” it’s most likely that nothing changed. The Korean desk officer(s) and immediate supervisors a couple of levels up at the Department of State who were handling the matter under the previous President are probably still in place. Plus, it strains my credulity to the max to believe that the previous Administration officials at higher levels didn’t want the man returned for some reason. In fact, if anyone would want to have a bunch of despotic Communists appear in the best possible light by releasing an unjustly detained American, I must believe it would have been that crowd. And although I still see nothing wrong with the, “Probably best to have no ribbons,” advice, perhaps the parents ignored it and put them up any way. That may have then softened ol’ Comrade Kim’s heart and while fighting back sympathetic tears he ordered, “Let those people have their boy back.” ► 6.4/93.6 ___________ “We are Americans …. Anyone think that fat little asshole might get offended when the MOAB arrives????? Elk There has never been an occasion where a people gave up their weapons in the interest of peace that didn't end in their massacre. Hmm …. Maybe that’s it: Perhaps we scared them into releasing the guy just like we scared them into stopping development and testing of nuclear weapons and from firing missiles toward Japan. ► 6.4/93.6 ___________ “We are Americans …. every time I think I'm out, they drag me back in. "Keep in mind that unless President Trump or Secretary Tillerson took a personal interest in this case for some inexplicable reason and said, “Get that boy back by whatever means necessary,” it’s most likely that nothing changed" http://www.wral.com/how-the-us...orth-korea/16760601/ The diplomatic process began on June 6 when State Department Special Representative Joseph Yun met with North Korean UN Mission Ambassador Pak Kil-yon in New York City and learned of Warmbier's deteriorating health condition, according to a senior State Department official. After that meeting in New York, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson consulted with President Donald Trump and instructed Yun to prepare to travel to North Korea with the intent of bringing Warmbier back to the United States, the official told CNN. A US delegation made up of Yun and a medical team was sent to North Korea on Monday to secure Warmbier's release, the official said, adding that they demanded to visit Warmbier upon arrival in Pyongyang. Yun and two doctors visited Warmbier that morning, marking the first time the US was able to confirm his status since he was sentenced in March 2016. Yun immediately demanded that Warmbier be released on humanitarian grounds and arrangements were made for him to leave North Korea. On Tuesday, Warmbier was evacuated from North Korea, accompanied by a medical team and a State Department representative.

I have no respect for Obama. Wyoming is just on the other side of Cincinnati from me. While I would never entertain visiting that shit hole country, I cannot imagine what his parents are going through. I would wish that pain on no one, not even Obama. Niech Zyje P-220 Steve
