Besides, what's the use of having bragging rights if you can't brag LOL. Alabama didn't play with a pristine "all hands on deck" either and their premier WR was injured and QB suffered a slight(?) leg injury in the game. Despite that, and last time I checked, Alabama scored more points in the second quarter ALONE than tOSU scored all night ... and ended up totaling MORE than twice as many points as tOSU overall. AT LEAST, a couple (2) of Alabama SEC opponents this year faired MUCH better and other middle of the road SEC teams faired about the same as tOSU. No brag or opinion, just fact. Roll Tide

All I've got to say about this game is this. Would it be too much to ask to have a close, nail biter, down to the wire, championship game every once in a while? I totally lost interest in the game just after the start of the second half when the outcome became abundantly clear. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. ^^^^^^^^^^ Saban will eventually retire and the recruitment will go downhill. When you get the majority of five star recruits it is hard to lose. I remember when Bama was fair to middling. It was not that long ago. ND was great when they had Lou Holtz and went downhill with Charlie Weiss in a hurry. Their recruitment suffered as well. It took OSU some time to recover from Tressel and Maurice Clarett. The first Clemson ND was exciting and close.

Despite the ups and downs ... and there will be ups and downs, NO TEAM has more championships than Alabama (16), except Yale (18) who hasn't had one since 1927. The closest modern era team in terms of championships is No.4 Notre Dame with 13 and behind that tied for No.6, Michigan and Southern California with 9 championships each. I don't think Alabama will repeat next year, but who knows. I also don't think they will stink like they did for a decade and a half before Nick Saban arrived. https://www.ncaa.com/news/foot...tional-championships

Check again sparky. I’m hardly an Alabama fan .... I’m an Auburn grad. Just calling it the way I see it. Alabama played a full all SEC schedule this year and points for and against last night was about what we saw all year. I think they averaged 48 per game. Ole Miss did the best against them offensively until Kiffin blinked. Florida did as well for awhile. But most got whipped in a similar fashion to OSU with some looking better in losing and some slightly worse. As far as injuries go, everyone has those. Meh. 0:01

That game with Ole Miss had me the most worried right up until the end. The Florida game, somewhat worrisome. Some have said (even some in the Alabama football program), that Lane Kiffin and staff was "stealing"/reading Alabama signals from the Alabama sidelines. Regardless, looking at the remainder of Ole Miss games, that MAY have been a possibility at least to some degree. After all, Kiffin had been the offensive coordinator at Alabama. Who knows what Kiffin knows. Also, it was said that all the head coaches in the SEC who'd played Alabama were in cahoots with each other to talk it out and try and figure out how best to play Alabama. Didn't matter. We did three years ago. Alabama defeated Georgia 26-26 on a walk off 41 yard TD reception by Freshman Devonta Smith in Overtime. Of course that was two SEC teams playing each other.
