Every time I hear this Ocasio-Cotez speak, I have very deep anger. She speaks so optimistically as though she has discovered something new no one ever heard before. In these interviews, no one seems to ask her about all the past failures everywhere Socialism has been attempted. Similarly, so many young people seem to want socialism without any knowledge of history, and socialism's abhorrent record. The libs have done a good job brainwashing the young ones through their takeover of our educational system. These people get far more traction than they should. How can we fix this? | |||

That's the crux of the millennial generation. Their enthusiasm is commendable but, it all gets overshadowed by the lack of perspective, namely, many of the ideas have already come and gone. Their thought process is the same as a middle/high school history class; kids think that humans 10, 100, 1000-years ago were just a step-away from cavemen with no concept of complex thought. if I went back in time I could teach them a thing or two | |||

It's all superficial. Sloganeering. Noble-sounding declarations to which everyone in a college classroom nods enthusiastically in agreement. The child-eye view of the world- look mommy, I'm good. I'm not bad, mommy. I'm good. See? This is why she sounds like an utter loon when she is interviewed. There is absolutely no substance to her beliefs. She hasn't the first clue that her platform would be impossible to implement, and she hasn't the first care about it. The emergence of this babbling child also demonstrates the complete loss of worth of a college education when compared to years past.
