Even more than that. She's a figurehead of the radical left branch of the Democratic party, and her handlers are using her to pull the party further left.

'Cept she isnt useful.

Right. She has a Congressional vote. And she'll vote the way she's told.

MCC Vs. AOC: Michelle Caruso-Cabrera To Run Against Ocasio-Cortez In Democratic Primary

Is AOC about to get a taste of her own medicine?

The Democratic diva and self-proclaimed 'Democratic Socialist' has been out campaigning for Bernie Sanders in recent weeks as one of his top surrogates. But back home, a challenge is brewing, as Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, a popular anchor on CNBC, has filed paperwork to challenge the 29-year-old lawmaker during this year's Democratic Primary.

Being a member of the House, AOC is obligated to defend her seat every two years. She famously knocked out Joe Crowley, the chairman of the Queens Democratic Committee and a leader in the House Democratic caucus, during a 2018 upset primary win.

MCC made the announcement on CNBC, the channel where she has worked for years. In a brief statement, she cited her Italian and Cuban heritage and longstanding roots to the Bronx and Queens district that AOC currently represents, and where MCC also lives.

“I am the daughter and granddaughter of working class Italian and Cuban immigrants,” Caruso-Cabrera said in a statement.

“I am so lucky to have had such a wonderful career and I want everybody to have the opportunity that I’ve had. That’s why I’m running.”

The race is already growing crowded as MCC will be the 12th candidate. Here's a rundown of who's running in NY's 14th district.

Democratic Party Democratic primary candidates

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Incumbent)

Fernando Cabrera

Michelle Caruso-Cabrera

James Dillon

Badrun Khan

Jose Velazquez

Republican Party Republican primary candidates

Jineea Butler

Israel Ortega Cruz

John Cummings

Miguel Hernandez

Scherie Murray

Ruth Papazian

Rey Solano

Antoine Tucker

If MCC's coverage is any guide, she will likely attack AOC's socialistic tendencies, while also attacking AOC's role in driving Amazon, and more than 100,000 well-paying jobs, away from Long Island City.

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Hyphenated last name is a good start. Probably mandatory in the district now.

It blows my mind that someone that stupid could be elected into that office. When you think about it she’s very powerful compared to the average American but she’s dumber than an average 7th grade kid.

She's got so much name recognition in that district now that she's probably untouchable. And both her politics and demographics match the district well. Don't expect her to lose.

All of that is true. It's really a shame.
Michelle Caruso-Cabrera would be reasonable and probably a pretty good rep for that district.
AOC has become famous, as a national Commie figure, the Queen of the Bernie Bros. But she doesn't really represent her constituents.

If you knew her district, you'd know this is wrong. They're perfectly happy with her.

I think your wrong, way wrong. Let's revisit AOC's coronation. She got elected in a district that had been represented by Joe Crowley, a true moderate by comparison, on a voter turnout percentage that was in the teens. Since then, she's done nothing for her district, while turning herself into a lightning rod most moderate Dem's in that district (those that elected Crowley over and over again) are likely embarrassed of. For god sake, even the establishment Dem's in Washington hate this bitch. They've even talked about re-districting her out of business. She most certainly is beatable. The primary thing saving her is the number of people running against her splitting the vote. My bet, if it were AOC against MCC head to head, AOC would be beaten soundly.

That cafe is out of business and I doubt there are many others lining up to hire this nitwit.

Michelle Caruso-Cabrera is the author of the 2010 book, "You Know I'm Right: More Prosperity, Less Government."
The book calls for "fiscal conservatism, limited government and personal responsibility."

While that may be the case, while she's there, she's still dangerous

Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists.
Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.
