63 is exactly how old my wife is. A tough post to read got a little tougher at that point. My heart aches for you and Sandy, brother.

Thank you, just ordered a couple of his books.

A little update on Sandy's chemo venture. She has been dealing with severe nausea and anxiety since last Friday and pretty much has lost her appetite. We reached out to one of her employer's vendor who supplies CBD to the vet clinic. They put together a CBD oil protocol for her and she started yesterday evening. She woke up this morning feeling a lot better and has had a couple small meals already.

She is not 100 percent, and probably will never be, but it was nice to see an improvement.

Another thing she is dealing with is depression. We hope that the CBD oil will help with the anxiety and we will also be meeting her sister's pastor soon.

Thanks again for everyone's prayers

UPDATE:

Well. things went a bit sideways on Sunday November 24th. We had to go to the hospital to have the chemo pump line removed from Sandy's port. When we arrived she was very dizzy and didn't fell good. They checked her blood pressure and it was tanking as was her heart rate. We had to rush her over to the ER a building over.

After running all sorts of blood work tests and keeping her overnight they finally came to the conclusion that one, she has always had low blood pressure, even though it was lower than normal, and the chemo can be the cause of the low heart rate which at times was at 30.

Definitely put the scare into us. Tomorrow is chemo treatment number 3. We will be going over options so that we hopefully can get something that doesn't throw her under the bus so much.

I just came across this post. I am sorry to hear about your wife's condition. My prayers for both of you. Be strong and be there for her as much as you can. But do take care of yourself as well. This battle is for both of you to fight and overcome. Stay strong.

Just reread the OP.
My father-in-law went from a pretty dire expectation to what is likely to be a treatable & non-aggressive pancreatic cancer, along with already having leukemia & stage 2 breast cancer.

He got his chemo port put in on Monday & I believe is first having the breast cancer removed before they address the pancreatic.

Saying a prayer for you & your wife. We're going through similar & it's hard on everyone.

Thanks Para,

I think right now a whole lot of prayers and positive vibes would be great.

I read this many years ago, as a teenager still in high school.

I spoke at my Mothers funeral and said this.

It was hard to say, but I think it's true,

"In my beginning is my ending, In my ending is my beginning."

May God Bless you, your wife, the medical and pharmacy team and all the other caregivers as well.

In his case, it seems he's gotten the best result of a bad situation. They've emphasized that it's treatable, and potentially might not have to go through chemo. Still a bit of wait-and-see to go.

A cancer diagnosis is not the end. Stay positive for your mental health as well as hers. Find yourself a good cancer support group for spouses. They have all been through this and can answer a lot of the questions you have or will have.
