He’s the Deputy Commissioner of the Compliance Bureau at Baltimore PD. For that he is qualified. He complied. BPD probably won’t let him even carry a water pistol.

WTF is a "Compliance Bureau" and why does it need a Commissioner let alone a "Deputy" Commissioner? Sounds like a cushy reward position for "friends/high donations" to higher level officials. Nawwww....no corruption here! "No matter where you go - there you are"

From what I have read, his position is that of a civilian and therefore unarmed. Makes sense, he's halfway a lawyer anyway, implementing a consent decree. Doubtful if any meaningful info was on his phone, he'd be reviewing data from Comstats and such.

Pretty big difference in what was first reported and what the actual facts are regarding this "Deputy Commissioner". More likely his actual weapons were his phones and tablets, and its debatable whether he was held up at gunpoint, or finger point! One thing is for sure; he's a very good compliance officer - he complied well with the gentlemen who requested his cash and phone(s)!
