| Condolences. Seeing an end to a profound friendship is always a tragedy. I have lost more than a few great dogs (is there any other kind?) in my time, I know you must feel crushed.
One thing I would do, to say goodbye if you will, would be to dig the grave myself. Sort of like the last thing I could do for my best pal. The physical exertion helped with the grieving as well. Last one I dug was just over four years ago, and they don't get easier with advancing age. It pains me that I am not likely to be able to do for Clark when his time comes. Whenever that will be, it will be too soon.
When the time comes to consider a successor to your girl, please consider adoption of an abandoned/unwanted dog. |
