One of the first things I did to my 2015 F-150 was add a Hellwig rear sway bar to it. It made a huge, noticeable difference in the handling of the truck. It corrected the obnoxious understeer and plowing of the front end around the traffic circles by our house in Phoenix.

Well, trading the 2015 in on a 2019 and went to pull the rear sway bar off to put it on the new truck. The adjustable end links are totally caked in rust. I e-mailed Hellwig yesterday inquiring if I could order a new set of end links. Got an e-mail response back this morning asking if I could send them pictures of the links along with my address. Next e-mail I received stated that the new links were shipping out today, no charge.

Gotta' love a company that makes a quality product and has great customer service as well.

That is def great customer service and it is refreshing to see companies like that still exist.

I was thinking about one for my Ram. Thanks for the heads up on a great company.

Great customer service for sure, probably the top RSB company on the F150 forum, from my time on there.

Congrats on the 19, lateral upgrate? Or stepping up in trim level?

I have fleeting moments where I think about a truck, but don't think I'd go back Cool

Back in the mid-'70s, I was a Hellwig dealer. We specialized in custom vans and they were a terrific upgrade. I don't remember ever having a problem with the product or service.

I had a problem with the front bar I installed on my F350. The bushing on one side was too short where it bolted to the frame rail and allowed the bar to bear down in the frame. I sent them pictures and measurements. They called me and said they would make a spacer that would give me the clearance and send longer bolts as well. I was happy with the service.

Oddly, the bigger than stock front bar had more of an effect on handling than the addition of a rear. The rear helped more when towing. Of the four things I did, the Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks made a big difference with the ride, especially with a load. The front anti-sway bar made a huge difference with handling while the rear made an improvement while towing. The Bilstein steering stabilizer did nothing compared to the stock one.

I have a similar bar installed on the rear of my 2001 F-150, and its been one of, if not the single best, accessory I've added. And given I've updated from 16" wheels to 20" on my truck, it needed all the kelp it could get out of that swaybar.

It's lateral, almost the same exact truck, equipped the same way, only blue instead of red. I would've like to have stepped up to a Lariat from an XLT just to get auto 4hi. I just couldn't justify the $6k difference for essentially what boiled down to leather, auto 4hi and push button start.

Good to hear.
I have the front and rear for the Expedition in my Amazon wish list.
I just wish someone would make some quick disconnects for off roading.

For an Expedition? I think most manufacturers wouldn't be expecting Expedition owners to be playing the frame twist game. Smile

True, the auto 4x4 is about the only part that isn't doable with ForScan. I think someone on the F150 forum got push button start to work.

If you'd have upgraded to the Raptor, you could have just driven straight through the traffic circles, no turning needed.

You might want to research the front bar. I know on the F-150 forums guys were complaining about extra noise with the Hellwig front bars clunking and banging. Upgrading to the bigger OEM front bar hat comes with the max trailer tow package seemed to be a better option.
