This in spades.
There will be no end to this fight. Knowing it will always be there is as essential as knowing hunger will always return. So ya gotta do something against both certainties.
Gotta.
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. -Ecclesiastes 9:11
...But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by Him shall glory, but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. - Psalm 63:11 [excerpted] September 15, 2019, 11:47 AM

I have not watched or listened to the news in years. I go on line to xfinity web site that has news, sports, and "entertainment". I don't care what the UK Royals or the Kar-ass-ions are doing so skip right over that, but if a headline is of interest I check to see what the 'fake news' has to say. My next stop is the Sig Forum to see what really happened.

+1 in spades. Abour the only thing I watch on TV news is the 5 day forecast.
I listen to CBS-AM radio in the car, but mostly for the traffic reports every 10 minutes. Keeps me better updated than the FM traffic receiver in my GPS.
I just tune out all the politics.

az4783054you are not alone. it's easy to quit talking about it. we all know how biased main stream media is. it's easy to quit watching it.
try ONE AMERICA NEWS (OAN) for balanced reporting without the leftist bias, hollywood glitz and endless chatter of network news.
the OAN women anchors are icing on the cake.

BamaJeepsterThe best thing I ever did was shut off the infotainment 'news' on cable and the networks. Have not seen a cable or network 'news' broadcast since 2005. I will occasionally watch a local news broadcast (maybe 2 or 3 times in a year), but that is usually just because it's on that station when it happens to come on.
I've always been very interested in current events - going back to high school, so I do follow news online. I remember growing up in the summer my dad would come home for lunch and Paul Harvey would come on at noon until 12:15 - we sat on the porch and listened every day and then he would head back to work.
I do tend to go in spurts following politics - I go several weeks or months of not following very closely and then catching up.
“Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.”

kramdenPolitics is one of those things you can try to ignore but the problem is you're going to live with the results of it. Just be careful where you get your information. CNN,CBS,NBC, MSNBC and PBS are ALL arms of the democratic party. They hate Trump and the American way of life as founded under the Constitution.

Nope. I embrace it. Pisses 'em RIGHT off!
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.
