I think of this one every day I'm at work.

Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here.

Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard.

My CUT was an expression that my high-school 'college English' teacher used frequently enough for it to be remembered, infrequently enough for it to have some impact.

He was one of the abysmally few teachers I had that even in retrospect ever seemed to give a rat's ass about his students both in class and out. I have found that in every field I have ever sweated in, the advice has been solid; schoolboy sports, college and its drama, the Marines which demand a cool head, business where more often that not one is working for nitwits, recalitrant children, all of it.

Thank you Mr. King, The main thing is (indeed) not to get excited.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

JALLEN glad your back.

I work with high school kids and I tell them all the time that I have never talked my way out of trouble but I have surely talked my way into it.

I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.

The Captain of the Gate:
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better
Than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers,
And the temples of his gods”
