I was saddened to hear a good while ago that Gibbles had gone under, and now it appears they are actually back, I am at the apparent edge of distro for Martins, while I can rarely find them in RVA, I do find them in Charlottesville or sometimes the tidewater area, they are a good substitute, however, I have now found that I can get Gibbles thru Amazon,, so ordered a box (4 bags) yum https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

Back when you were a kid, licorice was also popular. I remember Charles Chips and home delivery. They were good but when I was a kid, all junk food was good. 100% agree. Besides the Woodford, it's the 2nd best thing they serve on my Delta flights, and I always wait in anticipation when they come around with the snack tray so I can snag a bag of Miss Vickie's. ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan

For me: 1. Kettle Brand, Salt & Ground Black Pepper 2. Deep River Snacks, Sweet Maui Onion 3. Taco Works, Original Honorable mention- Kettle Brand, Sea Salt w/Pink Peppercorn ....fantastic crumbled over broiled salmon & dijon mustard, and on their own.
Those are good but $$$ First time I had them was in Spain nearly a decade ago before they began importing into the US; when traveling int'l I like to snack on the chips from the countries I visit, gives an interesting insight into a country's taste preferences. Jamon flavored chips are BOMB btw.

Tripp's was the local brand when I was much younger. Made a BBQ that had enough leftover seasoning in the bottom of the bag for another bag... Miss those. Now, I'm easy. Sour cream and onion ruffles. A Perpetual Disappointment...

I like many of the brands mentioned already. My all time favorites aren't available anymore. They were Maui Kitch'n Cook'd that came in a clear bag. There are many "Maui style" chips around, but not like the original. 十人十色

I remember when they were delivered house-to-house in their own trucks. We didn't buy them, but our next door neighbor did and I thought they must be the greatest chips ever. .
