Utz manufactures a line of kettle chips called Hawaiian Brand Snacks which at some point in time they had bought the line from Tim's Cascade Snacks. Their Sweet Maui Onion are truly exceptional and I always enjoyed eating them when vacationing in Hawaii.

Miss Vickies are good and much easier to find, but not as thick and crunchy as Utz's Hawaiian Brand Snacks kettle chips.

Their BBQ ones are amazing.

Being a New Orleans native hands-down Zapp’s. Shout out to Ron. Cajun Craw Taters to be exact. Granted they were better when they were made in Gramercy, La. , but they sold out to a big brand and the recipe has changed somewhat. I still like them though.

Second place goes to that “crab boil” chip…. UTz brand ?

Damn. I think I need to get out more. I haven't seen or heard of any of these brands.

Around here it's just Lays...they seem alright.

Utz are so thin and fragile by the time you eat them you might as well poor milk on them and eat like corn flakes.

Miss Vickie’s are good and more available at stores here in central VA.

A local chip brand, Rt 11, I like better. A small regional chipper located in the Shenandoah Valley in Mt Jackson, they can be difficult to find. The local Kroger stocks a limited selection. Surprisingly a deli in Emerald Isle, NC, the Village Market, offers a good selection including their seasonal favorites.

Husmans out of Cincinnati, Oh

Husmans were good but the best chips out of Cincinnati or anywhere were Grippo's BBQ chips.

do they still exist?

Gibbles Red Hots were the best chip I have ever had, but seems all I can find now is Martin's, which is supposedly the same recipe, but not quite as hot

Torres Black Truffle potato chips are unbelievable. Gourmet grocery store or Amazon. A close second is Keogh's, I prefer the Sour Cream and Shamrock. The bag will show the field the potatoes were grown in, the variety and who cooked the chips.

Great Lakes Potato Chip Company or Ballreichs Chips for us. Great Lakes Chips are from up in Traverse City area and the Ballreichs are a regional brand here in Northwest Ohio. Both very very good in my opinion

I buy the 30 1oz boxes at Costco. Here they only offer Vickie’s and Zapp’s. I much prefer the Vickie’s. So sick of Voodoo. I like Kettle brand. I think it’s offered online but not in store.

Our local sports bar serves great chips and I had to ask what hey were; 'Deep River Original Sea Salt Kettle chips'. I now buy them by the case from Amazon about once a month.

Herr's make good potato chips, cheese balls and pretzels. I'm just barely in their range. So it's spotty. They seem to be more available during the holidays.
