What you should do is digitize your family movies before the tapes get really old and crack. There are professional places that do it or you could see if there is Family History Center for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) near you. It takes time but you could do it yourself there. You generally need an appointment. Family stuff only. If she wants to watch a classic Survivor or what, just buy the DVDs.

just find one of the combo DVD/VHS machines and transfer from one to the other,


google VHS to DVD and there are a pile of them on amazon
