This here is the secret sauce. It’s one of the main reasons I stopped getting Pizza Hut pizza. They’re pan pizza was one of a kind when cooked this way. _____________________________ Pledge allegiance or pack your bag! We have a dine-in one 6 miles away that we've not been to and does not appear to be operated by the guy in the OP. It's surrounded by all the other fast-food franchises. There's also carry-out only one slightly closer that I go to once in a while. Lately they have $3 personal pan pizzas on Tuesdays.

It's funny, here in Western PA we have dozens and dozens of local pizza shops. They represent many different styles i.e. Ohio Valley, New York, thick crust, thin crust, deep dish, etc. Each is different and has a local following. Some may have an additional store, but most are single locations, essentially "neighborhood " pizza shops. You can easily get into an argument in Pittsburgh over who has the best pizza -- and that might be just in your neighborhood! Pizza Hut was usually an after thought for us. When you can get your choice of great pizza almost everywhere, why go to a national chain.

Bring back the Maid Rite from the 60's and I'll be happy. Pizza is everywhere. "Fixed fortifications are monuments to mans stupidity" - George S. Patton
