I literally stopped reading at this point:

Our award-winning Diabolo Dumbbells are a result of almost 8 years of experience within the superyacht…

Must have been grueling! Eight years on a yacht? Poor soul.

They are probably the nicest weights I've ever seen. Probably would fit right in on a super yacht. . .

Of course, my yachting days are - wait, I've NEVER had 'yachting days.' Guess I'm not the target market. Smile

Even IF you wanted them, imagine the freight cost to ship weights from Europe...

You don't ship them, you power up the yacht and go get 'em! Smile

Well, how about that! Big Grin

Never in my life would I have considered the carbon footprint of my dumbbells....

To each his own. Beside the price I found this interesting.

These luxury free weights should be handled with care and, as with all weights, must not be dropped. Heavy impact against a hard floor surface could cause the wood handles to split, and misalignment of the central metal rod.

I reckon they have about the same carbon footprint as one of my teaspoons.

I have heard dropping weights on teak floors makes a lot of work for the crew.

For only $4458 they can be yours.

You are paying your crew anyway.

I feel like this is another money laundering scheme. Corporate brand name buys alibaba/temu stuff to put their "premier" shell company logo on. Sells branded stuff at hyper-inflated costs to company-owned yacht/hotels/villas using investor money. Pockets the difference.

The ability for consumers to purchase is mere pageantry.

When the road runner cars came out ,
Way back in the 1900's
I thought that that rear giant "wing" looked kinda nifty.

After some research I found out that they were just silly visual affects.

There was nothing about the dimensions ,mounting or aerodynamics that would be beneficial.

And even if they put a correct wing or foil on,
it wouldn't start offering handling benefits until speeds over 115 m.p.h.

But yeah it was kinda cool looking.
Now days they could put a brake light and camera on it

If you got the scratch, why not.....

Now how about those 24K gold Apple Watches that sold for $17K, that are now obsolete and no longer upgradeable software wise.

It seems to me if you were designing weights to be used on a boat they would not be round and have the ability to roll away.

Interesting. I use Ironmaster weights because the plates are square. They stay pretty much where I put them, and if they don't I have much bigger problems. As a former San Franciscan, I know of which I speak.
