An "alleged" Saiga shotgun? I feel that allegation could be easily confirmed or denied by...looking at the stampings on the gun. Allegedly it's a Saiga that was allegedly modified with a pistol grip. Sounds like: 'The car he was dragged out of was allegedly red and allegedly had 4 wheels.' I mean, I guess that's good journalism? ---------------------------- Chuck Norris put the laughter in "manslaughter" Educating the youth of America, one declension at a time.

Well unless it's a "Pre-Safe" registered gun, the detachable box mag on a semiauto shotgun is a no go. As is a magazine over ten rounds. Or a semi auto shotgun magazine over seven (?) rounds. So they could stack up the charges just on the one gun. Oddly enough, the pistol grip they mention is not illegal under Safe.

His arsenal game is weak, yo. Also, I'm reasonably sure that "Essential Weapons Company" and the "KR-15" aren't real things... maybe a fantasy-type Airsoft or something. The only place the KR-15 has a footprint is in a multiplayer game.

17 guns? That's weak. I've bought more than that just this year. But it does suck that he's going to get jammed up for owning stuff that's legal almost everywhere else in the country, yet the article describes it like he was operating a terrorist cell.

To be fair I think their reaction was more about how the investigators would perceive his "collection" and use it in their narrative. It was just a funny moment. There was a time in which I had friends whom I'm disagreed with on issues like firearm ownership. The Obama years and subsequent tds meltdowns caused me to redefine terms like "friends" and "tolerance". I have the heart of a lion.......and a lifetime ban from the Toronto Zoo.- Unknown

I am willing to bet there is a ton more places with a lot more 'illegal' firearms in NY, I picked up a van load of guns and ammo from a guy in NY a few months ago, most of the firearms were not NY legal today (but were when he bought them) but he had never registered them etc etc etc as the law required, his pistols were supposedly all legit , as far as jumping thru the hoops, I was asked to go look, appraise, and buy to get them out of the house, older couple, and the kids (who contacted me) were scared of this type thing happening, the kids had no interest in the firearms, the wife needs medical assistance daily, and the fear of a caregiver talking too much or ratting them out was real, https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/
