But they would have to be the right men working in concert with a 'legitimate' opposition leader. Extensive training in night operations with satellite comms and light anti-tank capability.

Planning and execution would have to be right on the money -- no room for error. 15-20 man strike teams simultaneously taking down key nodes at 0200hrs on D-day. Intel on precisely where Maduro was on the night of the take-down would have to be 110%. Weeks of rehearsals. etc etc

It would be possible. Of course keeping 300 people quiet during planning and preparation would be difficult.
Right about intel on precisely where Maduro was on the night of the take-down... and that's difficult to plan for because it could be so many different places.

These guys were amateurs at Unconventional Warfare. While well versed in Direct Action tactics and planning, given their backgrounds with CIF/CRF teams, they were clueless in the larger picture. Even their OPSEC was porous and vetting/securing involved participants was...bad
