I prefer bottles. If a beer is available in both bottles and cans, I'll pick bottles every time. However, if I want a beer that's only available in cans, I'll buy that. I prefer drinking from a bottle rather than a can, and I have a large tub in the garage filled with every bottle cap I've opened here at the house in the 15 yrs we've lived here. It's a lot....

The bottle beer has larger carbonation bubbles, like club soda when poured into glass. (maybe added carbonation during bottling)

The can beer has very small bubbles and had a small foam on top.
Both had the same color.

The bottle (cobalt blue) had a very slight "skunk". The can does not (but we know that).
The taste of the bottle is "more" then the taste of the can.
In comparison, the can "seems" to be a lighter, almost "weaker" taste.

I think the carbonation, skunk give the impression of "more flavor" and I prefer the bottle to the can for that difference. (all beers)

And, I actually find the "skunk" desirable and not offensive, as strange as that may be.

JMO the glass vs can issue has nothing to do with preserving beer, taste, skunk, it's all about economics, you can easily get more cans into whatever you are using to transport it, and they weigh less, so shipping costs drop, it's always about the benjamins.

Doubt glass bottles will go away, the wine industry was inundated by the pundits and the bottling industry to get them to drop using real cork, replace it with screw tops. Better seal, no leakage from cork not fitting, tastes better, lasts longer.

What happened, consumers gave it the bird, part of drinking wine is the presentation, the uncorking is important, you can't sniff the inside of a metal screw top, and if you did, it just isn't the same.

Some times the old ways are the best ways.....

MR. Monkey. I'm assuming these were the same temp. when tested?
I'm sure you already know the colder a solution, the more gas it stores in solution. Yada yada.
