or if you want something smaller the Fenix E12 that mod29 mentioned.

Get the LD12, it's awesome, small easy to use, and it works. Use the link below and code APP10 to save yourself five bucks from what amazon is selling it for. Plus I get store credit for the referral, win/win.

PS anyone who is into 18650 flashlights the new Fenix PD35 V2 is coming out soon. I have so many flashlights, but I want it. I will restrain myself for the time being. It's hard to do at $69.95, $63 bucks after discount.

I carry this single AAA light I got from Massdrop. Brass body, waterproof and it feels solid.

If I want a light, I usually carry a modified or legoed surefire or malkoff devices light. If I want something smaller than your EB1 or E1B, I go to a Peak. Pick your material, whether you want throwy or floody, whether you want twisty or push button and what battery source you want....

I like the Streamlight Microstream that takes one AAA battery. Very bright for its size and price, pushbutton tailcap switch, lightweight and compact. The pocket clip will also allow it to be clipped on the bill of a ball cap, as a sort of emergency headlamp. Think they’re under $20 on amazon.

I carry a Streamlight ProTac 2L

I set it up for Low / Hi operation. Works for me.

I'm a Fenix fan and the E12 is what I carry most of the time. When I'm wearing cargo shorts or pants I'll often carry a PD32 or PD35 Tac.

I meant to add that these are pretty neat. Not super bright and runtime isn't great but my kids have not broken them and they like the momentary option- one of the only lights in the price range with it.

IF you are brave and want to play, I have heard rumors that some of them can be overdriven by a 10440 Li-ion to be very bright for a short time. Full disclosure, its been a few years and I haven't checked this with any new version (not sure if they updated it but want to be clear....)

Great little light, tough and dependable.
Takes a single AA battery.

this is my choice as well. I also have a few little E01's if I want something really small.

Another vote. But I'll add the E05. And I reverse the order of use; I carry the E01 daily unless I expect to need the brighter modes of the E05. These are both single AAA battery models. I go to the E12 when I want a little more yet.

I have two for EDC

Fenix PD22 typically on the belt or in a jacket pocket

Fenix E01 on small ring with my car key

I carry a streamlight pro tax 1aaa, I change the battery once a month and it always works the 10-15 times a day I use it both for LE and mechanical work.

I like them so much I gave one to my brother that replaced the other was light I had given him years ago.

I even order them for my new guys at work to make sure they have a reliable back up light.

Another Streamlight Micro lover here. About 15.00 on Amazon. Perfect size for front pocket.
